With a good attack speed and crit chance, you could have permanent invulnerability. Even without that you could get 18-25 seconds ever 45 seconds. Pretty OP tbh.

You just spam SS because the cooldown is really short. When it was 3 seconds, you could chain them with no downtime and get 18 seconds of invulnerability. and with multishot runed for discipline you could get even more. Oh yeah, I think you could actually stay in SS indefinitely with the bola rune for discipline too. I only got to inferno after the nerf so I don't really know how much the nerf hurt, but it's still ridiculously good.

Okay, so has anyone tried a suicide bomber Demonhunter build in a team play format for shits and giggles? You build as much DPS as possible, take the grenadier passive, and blow yourself up when you have to fight a large group/elites/boss for tons of damage. Obviously this won't be practical after they increase the repair cost, but right now with costs still low, it could be quite entertaining.

Gear: http://imgur.com/skHh0
So I've been going the route of having my main gear also be my MF gear as I am both too lazy to switch all the time and I don't want to risk getting banned for using some kind of script to fast switch.
80.6k dps w/o sharpshooter 165k dps w/ sharpshooter 213% base MF (234% with templar follower) 34k hp +19% movespeed
Some of my dex rolls on my gear isn't quite as high as I'd like them to be, but it was a trade off for MF. I'm looking to upgrade my xbow next, as a socketed 1300+ dps bow will probably bring me 200k+ dps with sharpshooter. Currently doing spiderqueen/azmodan runs in ~20 mins averaging ~14 rares per run.

Just cleared inferno after like 50 tries on Diablo :O

No kidding man, I just dropped 15m on my gear so it doesn't look so pitiful compared to yours, but finding a decent 2hr bow is such a chore T.T

How much did all of ur gear cost? I want to build a similar set of mf/dps gear but I only have 15 million. I could probably afford one piece of gear

Sick gear! I dropped about 15 mil into my gear overal, and my "normal" set (Without MF xD) is vastly inferior to yours! Only thing i am wondering: Do you have any resists at all?
I always thought that with no resists you (even though you have 34K health) will get oneshotted in A3/A4 anyway.

im surprised crossbow is above bow in the poll. doesn't bow have a base attack speed advantage, and has higher max possible stats than xbow?
|
Crossbows are better because of the crit damage + sharpshooter synergy. Also bows with too fast of an attack speed cripple your ability to stutter step, making crossbows better for mobility.

How can lower attack speeds cripple your ability to stutter step. You just wait for longer than your bow cooldown to shoot. If the bow has better stats then it's def better than xbow

Sry i meant fast attack speeds. I don't get how fast attack speeds cripple your stutterstepping

Hey guys. Just finished Inferno Diablo last week. To start off, I'm not the biggest fans of using traps, and for that fight especially.
I used
Hungering Arrow - Puncturing Elemental Arrow - Nether Tentacles Smoke Screen - Lingering Fog Vault - Tumble Marked for Death - Mortal Enemy Preparation - Backup plan
Tactical Advantage Steady Aim Archery
This isn't a very reliable, destroy him every time build, but it works if you're just wanting the kill.
I went for as much attack speed as possible. I found it worked best for the fight. I bought some cheap Dex/AS rings/amulet and a Beckon Sail. Ideally I'd have had a bow, but I still had my leftover crossbow and it worked alright.
Phase 1 is just about kiting and dodging the fire. Rely on audio cues for the most part to know about his abilities. The key is to never put a gap between you and Diablo or you'll trigger a teleport. Max range him just off screen. Most of the damage comes from getting range, he'll randomly chill or slow down and you can put a ton of Nether Tentacles in his direction. When he charges, vault when he's within 20 yards. His swing has a pretty long range so if you try to max dps and don't play super safe he'll still hit you.
Phase 2 is really tricky. You have to really know when the add will come, lingering fog then vault away max ranging your add firing hungering arrows and spamming nether tentacles when you know exactly what direction he's coming from. For Diablo phases, The top area away from the gaps is the best. It's REALLY easy to get instantly destroyed by your add if you're not REALLY comfortable with the add timings.
Phase 3 is slow, but easy to survive. Just take your time. The lightning breath is easy to tumble away from when you know it's coming.

Probably the tower on the way to the spiderbish, it can get pretty nasty if you get unlucky with phasebeast or soulripper afflixes. Fast invulnerable soulrippers are the worst T_T You can always tp back to the keeps for easy stacks as well.

I start at the Second Heart quest, which is 2 levels of the tower, then the spider queen, then 1 level, then Azmodan. I'd say about 50%+ of the time I have 4-5 stacks before getting to spider queen, but even if I have 3, I will just start the fight (I clear all levels, I never skip an elite pack, but the number before spider queen is random - 3-5). I always have 5 for azmodan. Both bosses take like 10 seconds or less to kill for me. There seem to be no soul rippers in this run, and I've done a lot of them. The hardest mobs are probably the spear throwers or phase beast packs with annoying modifiers (extra health/fast/reflect damage/immune minion etc).
For the people who are asking how I farmed all this gear, I actually started farming back in Act1 doing skeleton king runs with a 750 dps xbow with a scatter traps build (no nether at all). Once I was able to do that run under 15 mins, I moved onto Warden/Butcher runs (with a 900+ dps xbow/multi shot+fireatwill build and kept farming until I could do that run in ~12 mins. I barely did any siege breaker runs. I upgraded my gear one piece at a time - selling things on AH fast by undercutting other people by 25-50%. There are two things I always made sure of - that I could do a run efficiently/fast (otherwise no point in doing it) and selling off my inventory fast (undercutting + I have some friends who sell stuff for me for a %).
I now use a pretty standard build of Caltops+Jagged, SS+Lingering, Prep+Backup, Companion+Bat, Hungering+Devouring, Elemental+Nether. Passives are sharpshooter, Steady Aim, Archery. During my act1 runs, tactical+vault/tumble was necessary to move through the levels fast, I dont feel like it's needed for this run, so I take sharpshooter for the extra burst DPS when having to kill the harder elite packs faster.
