Im still running around with 12k life and 30kdps (80k with max sharpshooterstacks yey) killing pretty much every elite in inferno (unless it has reflect dmg or rediculous combos like phasebeast+teleport+mass+shielding FUN FUN FUN).
Going Vitality is totally useless as DH in my opinion because even if going all out on vit you would still only take 1 MAX 2 hits to die; simply not worth it.

Edit: Using Impending Doom Bola and Multishot (Multishoot either Suppressing Fire or Full Broadside but im leaning towards Full Broadside because of the SS nerf)

Just wondering, when looking for xbows, what do you guys prioritize? It seems like a lot of the ones on auction house are just blues with high damage and no other stats/irrelevant stats

I have no doubt in my mind that SS is still important, just now people arent going to find gimmicky builds to have 100 percent uptime. Gonna have to play around with new builds..

Anyone got some effective builds w/o SS? The one i use now pretty much centers around it, especially vs bosses/elites: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bRXVYS!Vec!YcZbZc

Basically use slow+traps to kite the hell out of anything and ss if you are about to get hit.

For elites, you can spam w/e skill you use if you have ss+preparation. Cast ss, spam skill, repeat til out of discipline, cast preparation, repeat whole process until last s, then run away. repeat after prep cool down.

I'm only through a1 inferno so far. worried about rest of the game using this build after ss nerf

running inferno with ss, you have to kite and keep distance very well, also u need good res and fully equipped templar and it's still pretty good. Still way easier than with barb or wd

Honestly I'm too scared to play HC inferno anymore after seeing how big the change effected my SC DH. Been trying a ice arrow + 80% traps build, but seems like most monsters just don't give a fuck and run right through all the slows.

i have tried slows in softcore act 2, but it just doesnt freaking work, all DH has is smokescreen, vault is terrible too with its long casttime.

Mobs dont care about slows much in inferno, especially the ones that are fast and where you would actually need the slow.
