I am at lvl 56, nearing Hell Belial. My build is as follows, with approximately 4.5k DPS / 26k health:

My gear could use quite a bit of an upgrade (have an okayish xbow for my level with like 400 DPS and great DEX and VIT boost, but some of my slots lack badly).
I have 42 discipline with gear bonuses.
How would you improve the setup? I am using Caltrops for the CC effect + extra damage, and since I have some extra discipline to spare for the most part, and when I am Walled by a strong mob, SS is barely enough to make a safe escape, so I usually drop the Caltrops. Plus, it allows me to save some time between using SS that extends the abuse of the build.
I have been considering switching from Vengeance to Sharpshooter, OR Caltrops (maybe the Bat?) to Elemental Arrows with life steal and Cull the weak to Sharpshooter, since with a slow, but better damaging Mulitshot I do not burn Hatred as much, and I have +25 Hatred from Vengeance, and Bat and Hatred regen from my quiver, which sounds a bit of an overkill.
Which do you think is the optimal setup for later on Hell, and for lvl 60 - possibly Inferno after I gear up significantly? I feel my build is not aggressive enough, and could be more glass cannon-ish. My damage is rather low (right?), but some better DEX bonus gears alone could boost it by at least 2k I think.

Just a quick question: Anybody knows if the bleed dot from chemical burn impale stacks? From my observations I'd say it doesn't but i just wanted to make sure.

pretty sure lingering fog just got removed from the game
edit: now its working fine... wtf. I know for a fact my smokescreen just lasted 2 seconds, but its working now
edit2: it works in town but not when I leave town... lol wtf?
figured it out, hotfix isnt applied to all servers at the same time, so I was just in alternating servers that did/didn't have the hotfix

With me when, say, I was rushing through act 3 normal to help my buddy, my bat just critted 100% of the time. You really didn't test how the bat functions with crit before you post that?

The numbers are deceptive, Ball Lightning can hit the same target many, many times. I don't know about Hentai Shot, as I haven't experimented much with it, but I've heard it can hit twice. The reason why Ball Lightning is insane DPS is because it will hit a target and arc to everything near it, and then just keep pulsing and arcing over and over. I don't think AoE gets much more efficient than Ball Lightning.

I'm really likin RDM's dps build- gettin used to usin smoke screen instead of caltrops for my hell playthrough- right now I'm just L42 in act 2 of nightmare. I play with my buddy on his witch doctor or monk- so he either tanks with his monk or lets his minions do it- and smoke screen is an excellent aggro dump (or so it seems, at least). I've switched it up a bit, though, to be better for the fact that we don't kill stuff fast enough for sticky spike traps to be that helpful. Instead of spike traps and impale, I've gone with fan of knives and cluster arrow. FoK for the slow (I smoke screen > run through group of mobs > hit FoK) and use cluster arrow as my main damage / hatred dump. I pretty much hit SS every time I have enough discipline for it to keep the mobs from attacking me, but if I need to, I run through them and FoK.

Ss was just dumb, it had to go. Why should I be able to be invincible for 12 seconds in a row?
Its these kind of stupid abilities that made inferno beaten in solo after a week, just like force armor or whatever its called (thank god thats nerfed aswell)
I just wish they made this earlier, like 7 days ago
