I guess they buff roaches +1 range. That's really nice and I don't think it will be OP.

And no need to say that hellion harass is dead - that's just stupid.

Reaper speed upgrade should just be 100/100 and that's all.

I think that it will be much better if they make concussive shell instead of nitro pack to require a factory.

All these changes are perfect in my opinion, along the lines of that I was thinking and improved upon my ideas. Blizz knows what the fuck it's doing, kudos to them.

and yes this will be the end of hellion builds, even when you do a hellion into expand build, you have the danger of a roach timing push which is already pretty deadly right after you get your natural running.

now these pushes will be even harder to stop

The roach range is huge. I expect they'll be moved to range 4, this will cut the range gap between roaches and marines in half.

Most players have actually learned how to deal with reapers making them a bit less effective. I personally don't think the speed being moved was nessicary, but I like the supply depot requirement.

The HP increase makes sense. Terran might have 4 barracks, protoss might have 4 gateways, but zerg will always only have 1 spawning pool. It makes it too easy to completely degress the zergs tech.

It is threads like these that make me wish on these forums I could search for replies specifically by pros or mods.

I'd like to see if any big names have any opinions on this, but it's just so hard to scan through 22 pages of the same stuff being said over and over again

In the way that VR are a niche unit that you do not want in your army. If you think about it VR rushing follows the same format as Reaper rushing.

Get 1 = Go in, aim to kill anything that can kill it before wrecking havoc
Get a few = Go in and kill anything that could be used to stop it.

You never see VR rushed for the purpose of being part of the army. It is always for flying into the back to kill off Supply Depos, Pylons, or a hidden mini fleet of death exactly the same as reapers. Unlike reapers though VR could be fixed rather easily if they worked backwards (charged attack to open, then weaker attack, stop attacking to charge again). Would fix a ton of problems.

Was just thinking here, first I was angry with the depot + rax thing then I just remembered it will take some time to be announced officially + 1.5 - 2 months to be released
So I would say no patch till my birthday (march) XD

I love the depot before barracks requirement. I always felt it was a bit unfair that T is pretty much immune to proxy gates/6pools by walling off, while at the same time being able to threaten an early cheese himself.

This is dumb.

Saying "Zerg is balanced, 75% of players need a buff to their personal skill" is like saying "nerf Terrans by disallowing keyboards for T users".

so instead of blindly building hellions, T can scout more to see if z has a ling or a roach defense and make accordingly? if z just went roaches, try a marauder harass (or marauders into FE)

i don't get why T should get a free "build hellions to harass no matter what zerg has done" strategy.

I thought you were going to keep at it with the +5 build time changes, and now you really go fuck everything up. I love you guys. I'm wondering if the reaper speed upgrade has been made completely redundant though?
