why so much hate on the depo before rax......i like it.

did u ever play 4v4 vs 3-4 terrans and everyone goes fast reaper......well u lost in the loading screen.
and for 1v1 maybe some players change from onebase every game to some more macro style.

Oh man again 22 pages of mostly QQ. Atleast its T QQ so its hard warming for me.
Anyways. I guess we all agree that the Zerg buffs are pretty nice and it will change/help ZvX.

I like most of the people find the T nerf idiotic. You can see that these nerfs must be aimed to balance 2on2. Blizzard did announce that theyre looking into balance issues with team games.. If thats their result I'm disappointed. The Roach range buff is all you need vs Reaper leave the rest alone.

Imo its reaaaaaally bad idea to try balance 2on2 with such big changes. like a reaaaaaaaaaaally bad idea
Fruitseller: I feel like it's a good strategy[6Pool]. I had a lot of strategies, but I thought about it a lot and decided to 6 pool. Other people told me to 6 pool too

I agree...

1) Most BOs build a depot first anyway.
2) This will only limit Terran's ability to do fun/cute cheese strats; less variety = bad.
3) In late-game stalemate/base-trade situations, this could be a big problem; e.g., a Terran player has three command centers, but all their rax/depots have been taken out; even though they have plenty of supply, they'll have to built a depot before a rax. blegh. Overall the changes are looking really nice, about time for a Roach buff after the supply nerf.

If I have to build a supply depot before barracks, I'm switching to Zerg. There's NO reasons to implement this when you actually look at it from a perspective other than the often cliche' "Terran is OP". For example, What does it actually FIX? Was there an issue arising because of this? Say early reaper, go ahead, then look at the other changes they're making, suddenly makes even less sense.

I don't believe that they're in anyway actually going to implement this particular change, but if they do, good god I'm gonna be pissed.

I like it. The only thing that the supply depot before barracks thing does is nerf cheese. I like the delayed nitro pack upgrade, but i really hope that reapers are still used. They are definitely one of the coolest units that blizzard has ever made...

This is wrong.
Lings need speed to be even useable
Roaches need speed to be even useable
Hydras need range to be on par with the other t2 ranged units
Banelings need speed to be even useable
Ultras need armor to be even useable

Terrans have vikings/banshees/thors/hellions/bcs/MEDIVACS/ravens that are extremely powerful without upgrades.

They aren't going to double the building's life. At most it's probably a 20% increase. I'd bet on +10%.

Everyone seems happy with the roach buff but disappointed with the depot before rax. Personally as a zerg/toss player, I think needing a depot is only fair, toss need pylon before gateway. The roach buff might be a bit imba, maybe not, but at the very least they officially made hydras useless for any role other than anti-air defense. Mass roach erryday, just like phase 1 beta. Also, I saw somebody say they better not increase hatch/crawler/pool hp? Marauders were the real problem imo, hatches and pools need more hp or marauders need a nerf, you can drop all the spine crawlers in the world at an expo, terran can just drop a handful of marauders, stim, and hatch/pool is dead before slings (fastest unit in the game) can respond. So I agree with this change, sort of. I think the marauder nerf would be better as it wouldn't affect zvp (and pvt could use a bit of help anyway).

incorrect. marauders and marines without stim/conc are still absolutely amazing units. Much, much, much better than un upgraded roaches and zerglings.


Marine+Marauder loses by cost to speedlings before stim and it really isn't very close.

Seriously why not finally get rid of reapers altogether. An early game unit you are not allowed to rush with.


How about people actually develop late game strategies with reapers, I've yet to see someone use them in drops, w/ mech etc..

Wait so people might actually have to worry about possible early zerg aggression? builds that involved cannoning a ramp so that the zerg couldn't break out until they got creep spread to their ramp or tech'd lair to break out was foolish, also being able to hold off roach pressure with exactly one not difficult to place cannon is also questionable.

The reaper nerf went to far and a huge problem here is a lot of people are assuming 5RR opens with a 9 rax... it doesn't. the barracks nerf was more then likely a team game nerf, because stopping a 9rax reaper 6-8 pool for most races was just a nightmare. If they're upping roach range i suggest they leave the speed upgrade alone (roaches will have equal range) as the range will equalize the reaper situation

And for the TLO build (hellion fe) i agree on small maps an early roach push might be scary but you'll see it coming and no1 is stopping you from making some marines / mara and a bunker if u see the roach numbers getting high it wont 100% crush the build like some people are protesting, you might have to alter it depending on what you see. And on larger maps there will most likely be no change to the build because i think people forget how slow roaches really are.

That was only because Rainbow didn't anticipate that the zerglings would ambush his reapers behind the gas. If he had, he wouldn't have lost 2 of his 3 reapers, and it would have been a different story.

Saying that hatch first can beat proxy reaper just because Rainbow fucked up and Cool did something cute that would not work again, and only works on that map in that certain situation, is stupid.
