The game works on a time system wherein you get 'tokens'. you start with a whole bunch and then gain one every 12 minutes. You start with a cool million bucks to fund your empire.
The way you make money is by selling drugs, of course. Your lab can produce one type of drug at a time, but you can switch it whenever you want. As you progress, you'll recruit more junkies, who act as regular costumers ("trained", basically it takes a few turns for them to get hooked). Every time you use a token (which means a unit of time has passed), each junkie will relieve you of one unit of whatever drug you've decided to feed them, and in return they'll generate money.
There is a tutorial that will help you get started. It'll show you what you need to start crankin out the profits by having you spend one or two of your starting tokens on each thing you should do. After that you can go back and spend all your tokens on whatever you deem necessary. Everything is really easy to figure out.
Since the drug trade is a vicious business, I have started a cartel. Being in a cartel lets people know that you have backup, so if anyone fucks with you, the cartel fucks them back. While you're new and weak, don't jump anyone who is in a cartel ok? To join our cartel, click on the cartel menu at the top of the screen once you're underway, and type in TeamLiquid as the cartel name. The password is....!!!!!!!!!!!+ Show Spoiler +
