I didn't expect that they would share any info until the appeal was done if ever, but the way he answered this is unnecessary. I suppose he makes a good target and is still a great figurehead because of it. I mean you fell for it.

goodell impressed me in answering the guy who asked about the 7 dead high school players and then the next question about young players quitting the game. when is this guy running for republican leader?

True, I just can't hate Jerry Jones and friends because I'd turn into a Sith... I feel like these articles coming out are less about the actual football analysis than ever. Usually the game is so over analyzed before the superbowl I'm sick of it, but I'd rather have that than trying to force racism and hgh stories.

I know it had a lot to do with Brady vs Manning but the conference championship games seemed way more hyped up

the 7 dead high schoolers he explained what a tragedy it was and how the NFL's new practice policies are slowly filtering down to lower levels of football and it will increase the safety of the sport. i think there is no hype because Carolina and Denver are small media markets and as someone else mentioned there is a heavy favourite.

I know it had a lot to do with Brady vs Manning but the conference championship games seemed way more hyped up I think it's because Newton has never done it before and doesn't have the amount of national exposure that some others do. That and the ridiculously fabricated "no one likes Newton because he's black" story that's running around is really off putting.

What are the premises? Can you elaborate? So basically his answer to the 7 dead high schoolers was that football isn't dangerous? Which practice policy is going to prevent a high schooler from getting killed on a routine tackle during a football game?

Which practice policy is going to prevent a high schooler from getting killed on a routine tackle during a football game? u r preaching to teh choir sir. its probably better to just find the "State of the League Address" and watch it. i can't recall his exact words. just from my subjective perspective Goodell is a really good politician during these intense Q&A sessions. its probably a big reason he got the job in the first place. The NY Times provided some coverage... http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/06/sports/football/roger-goodell-insists-football-is-safe-theres-risk-in-life.html?_r=0

"He’s like a Presidential candidate that way, really: there are people who argue that lying doesn’t matter in politics anymore, if it ever did. "

Is the Marvin Harrison thing the weirdest NFL story ever? Top 5? He might have killed a guy or two or something? And he always came across as a soft spoken guy.
