Where the hell has this been all year? edit: Hahaha Yakupov is even with a goal and an assist. still gonna be leauge worst in +/- (at the time it was 6-0) Powerplay goals. /shrugs. That was a significantly different hockey club then we've been seeing recently. Lots of jump, skating for pucks, solid back pressure, strong puck support, and we played damn well in our own end as well. Offensively we sustained pressure for once. We had a cycle game, we won the boards battle. Huuge difference in body posture and language today. The guys have some confidence, and it shows. We scored a ton of goals, but IMO more importantly we played the game the right way. I hope it continues.

Gagner's 8 point night in Chicago was the last time I can remember such a one sided in our favor tilt. I would love it if they played like this all year. I'm kinda sick of ripping them for shitty play.

Nyquist, Zetterberg, Ericsson, Franzen, Kronwall, Gustavsson on the ice. The Red Wings really are Team Sweden...

But have no fear, Erickson is about to get 4 million+ dollars and a 5 year NMC so all is well on the good ship "Ken Holland had a stroke in 09."

The real test is Monday vs Chicago and Edmonton has a habit of giving Chicago headaches. With the Oiler having some confidence it should be a good game. Also, the reason no east teams makes the playoffs in the west is the vast majority of intra-conferance games have been played and the west cleaned house. Every single team save EDM has a winning record.
