Hillary should go after someone like Hagel. Hegel is an idea. I could maybe get onboard with that. Hagel won't bother most liberals and he'll be appealing to fiscal conservatives. He'll also be great with military members which are actually a weak point for Trump.
I'm not sure he'd want to put up with the bullshit, but I think he should be the mold for her pick.

I get the glory of simultaneously not understanding him or the party and being the first one to realize he would win.
My opinion, understanding must be overrated

Might be me, I've seen the username Djzapz a lot in the threads I've been to and replied to.
Initially I jokingly liked Trump to see the world burn, that was a very short period, and I'm like... Yeah no, this guy is an idiot. Then I went through the phase of looking how all the other candidates are liars, populists, manipulators, and just unintelligent people. Then I spent maybe 10-20 hours researching Trump, listening to a couple speeches, and I could get behind his message... I'm still trying to figure out how much it is a facade versus how serious he is when he builds some things. I read one of his books in the past, and when I read it, I didn't think he was a stupid person, quite the opposite, and I always thought he's playing the system to win.
He speaks in hyperboles, when he says he's going to build a wall, people think Great Wall of China, I picture a tall barbed wire fence, his speech is formulated to receive attention. But anyway, I'm not so sure anymore - he has been a bit extreme even for me. It's not hate that fuels me, it's a distant world that is more human. It's difficult to write a manifesto in a few paragraphs, because there are so many things that have shaped my views, so its easy to conclude arguments to be illogical (or often extreme without in depth background)... But at the end of the day, both my arguments and anti-Trump arguments will have their motivator the desire for a better world.
My number one issue with society is we don't do things because we want to do them, but we do them because we have to do them. I think as a nation, Canada and the USA is as divided as its been since the American Civil War, and I just want something, anything, to change that... I'm willing to pay a large short-term cost for it, because I believe the amount we will save in the long-term is immense.
Anyway, for the liberals out there, I'd just ask you make sure you're exploring your worldviews, it's easy being a liberal because everything is fed to you (it's easy being a conservative too, actually easy to be anything blindly), but for whatever your utopia is, make sure its rationalized by you, and not chosen for you.

Hillary should go after someone like Hagel. Nothing will prove how progressive she is than picking a VP like Hagel. That'll really turn out the disaffected Bernie Sanders supporters! Also, no way Trump picks Christie. He's just gonna make him his bitch and discard him when needed I could believe they're actually friends. Before Christie went vanilla republican for his president run, he had a similar kind of blunt attitude to Trump (not in terms of what they say necessarily, but how they say it). I could see the two going out for drinks one day. Call it "New Jersey values" if you will.

Yeah, I can't see that he would gain anything from Christie as VP. He already defeated him quite handily, what more could you gain? The voters clearly didn't want Christie and I doubt Trump would either except as a trophy of war.

These "You Can't Stump the Trump" videos are like crack. I can't get enough of them.

too ignorant to be freudian sadly

I think of the pool of candidates, Rand Paul would be the most likely running mate. Outside of that pool, I doubt anyone could predict a choice.

The hyperboles is a big part of his speech, you're right. I think his line was "Nobody cares if you have the fourth best pizza in New York".
The barbed wire seems closer to the truth. The two that get brought up a lot is the Hungarian border put up last year and the Israeli border with Egypt. It's military grade but it's not some Game of Thrones looking thing.

Do you think Rand Paul would run? The poor guy was Trump's first victim. Call me too proud, but I don't think I would run with Trump after that- better to try again in a non-Trump year.
edit. In regards to xDaunt- yeah, on one hand Trump savaged them so bad, that I'd doubt few would want to run with him, but Trump also savaged them so bad, that they are all pretty much damaged goods and therefore lack value to pick up. Whereas, there clearly was value for Obama to scoop up Biden and Clinton for his "Team of Rivals." But despite the hard fought battles in 08, it was a little more of a martial arts contest, compared to the barroom brawl that has been the Republican primaries. Trump has made all his rivals seem incredibly weak and incompetent- plus he's running on the whole outsiders thing. Why would you give that up for the guys you pummeled?

Do you think Rand would accept that? It would be kind of funny though to see the die hard Paul fans in my family have to cope with him being 2nd fiddle to Trump (whom they hate with a passion).

Trump/Elizabeth Warren. He then resigns 1st day in office to reveal he was actually a democrat sleeper all along.

I'm feeling pretty high on my horse seeing Minnesota go both rubio and sanders.

I don't think he picks anyone for VP that isn't also a Trump. Trump has savaged everyone in politics that doesn't have his last name. Has he praised any Republican politicians? I can't name any. He waits for their praise. I fully expect him to pick his Wife, Daughter, or Son as the only ones possibly good enough to succeed the Donald.

Pretty sure Carson is the #1 pick from Republicans for his VP. He also conveniently hasn't really said anything negative about Carson, at least recently.
He literally insults people so often it's hard to remember who and or when.
EDIT: Apparently the rant on how stupid Iowa is was about Carson but I don't think anyone remembers that part.
|
He might actually go with Rick Scott or something I think.
I guessed Hillary coming out with 170 delegates more than Bernie from Super Tuesday states, looks like it'll be 180 something so not too far lol. Sadly my best prediction of the election season numberwise.
EDIT: Trump was nice to Carson that one time when he was waiting offstage awkwardly FWIW, though I feel like Trump just doesn't see Carson as a threat which is why he hasn't attacked or acknowledged him.

The scariest thing about this all is that I have not one person seen debating the actual political platforms. It's all about walls, Shillaries and foolish guac bowl merchants from now on. Long live democracy
