I haven't been reading this thread very much but a few of the people who defended those quotes used to be, in my mind, credible posters at least on other topics. It just broke my heart. One of them in particular, I won't say which... I liked the guy, I liked some of his posts. And now he posts this and it just broke me... Like, the vitriol, the fucking hate is too much. You have otherwise reasonable people who've gone full out crazy. I think this whole thing around Trump is a profoundly sad state of affairs. The anti-establishment I can understand. But the lack of concern for other people, the hate... Sick fucking shit. Is it me? You can PM me the answer if you want.

You posted some quotes, we gave rational explanations, and now you fuck off as if you've the higher ground in this argument. I'm seeing more and more people come out of the woodwork. Actually surprised to see the substantial amount of support Trump has on a college campus. For my own curiosity, do you think it's good foreign policy to target the families of supposed or known terrorists? As a foreign policy, it's hard to say. I'm on the fence about it. On one hand, it plays right into the terrorists' propaganda since the families didn't technically do anything. On the other hand, it's ridiculous when the families are fully aware of their relatives' plans and do nothing about it or even encourage it. I'm really unsure.

Of all of the people in this thread who are anti-Trump, I'm pretty sure that less than five of them actually have a good, working understanding of him, his strategy, and his appeal.

I'm insanely curious who he'll pick as his running mate.
I can't see it being Christie.
Hillary should go after someone like Hagel.

But coming from you actually it seems like you're just being patronizing. That's my working understanding of you, your strategy and your appeal. Clever.

There's no way Trump picks Christie, he's made Christie his bitch and Christie really regrets endorsing Trump now.
Christie is basically Reek from GoT now.

Hegel is an idea. I could maybe get onboard with that.

Too fucking hilarious. Not sure to be amazed that we can literally meme a person into presidency, or that disturbed that we're so close to a meme president.

I rest my case.

The business stuff is the most obvious example. They're enamored with him being a great business leader, kind of like people are with Mark Cuban. For the record, I think both are pretty poor executives. Like, the things he describes just don't make sense to anyone actually involved in them. But if you're not familiar with that world, it's not hard to buy it.

They're both bubble billionaires
At least Mark Cuban is a decent human being

I think it's debatable whether Mark Cuban is a better human being than Donald Trump.

Trump is making people in this thread lose their minds.
A modicum of courtesy is still required when discussing ones opposition however passionately that opposition is held.

Hillary should go after someone like Hagel. My money's on Christie trying to go back for his old attorney general gig.

Well I understand that many people who post here certainly can't see the big picture but fewer than 5? Seems like it's just xDaunt's way to say he thinks it's a bunch of dumbasses without addressing anything they're saying (and without naming them directly). Saves time and effort I guess.

Only one of those posters that I listed has a working knowledge of Trump. The others clearly don't. I was merely illustrating my point that some people get him and some don't.

Not sure if Bernie ever acknowledged it but he's been portrayed a lot as the Feels Guy as a counterpoint.
2020 will probably be danker IMO.

Nothing will prove how progressive she is than picking a VP like Hagel. That'll really turn out the disaffected Bernie Sanders supporters!
Also, no way Trump picks Christie. He's just gonna make him his bitch and discard him when needed
