And Trump's answer: "if Paris had guns pointing the other way"? WTF does that even mean? Soccer arenas and concert halls should have mounted machine-guns?

So Americans are just more violent than the rest of the world, that's why we have more gun violence? That's essentially what Rubio was saying. And Trump's answer: "if Paris had guns pointing the other way"? WTF does that even mean? Soccer arenas and concert halls should have mounted machine-guns? If the Paris terrorists had targeted a concert hall around my area with a similar capacity as the Bataclan, they would be outnumbered roughly 5 to 1 by people with concealed carry licenses. It took the police 15 minutes to respond to the Bataclan shootings...and the initial response consisted of one armed officer. All of the killings were done prior to the armed response.

I don't believe anywhere in America this is true. You're not allowed to bring guns into sports arenas, and if such an incident occurred in America, I would expect the police to resolve the issue. Someone with a concealed-carry outside the arena isn't going to storm in and save the day. Look, what happened in Paris could happen anywhere. These fantasies of self-protection and vigilantism are just narratives compared to the fact that we have a large amount of gun-violence. Why is it so hard to admit that the country that imports and manufactures the most guns, also has the most gun-violence as a rather direct, plain, simple, obvious correlation. The problem with gun-violence isn't mental health, or ISIS, it's guns.

It's quite legal to carry into concerts depending on your location in the United States. Hell, you can carry into schools with a permit in most states.
