Maybe people will go to LeBron on how to sell fouls. Nah, Pierce will have the market cornered. Not like we need statistics to back anything we say anymore... Pierce sells obvious fouls and he's good at it. He's good at pump fakes, drawing contact, whatever comes with experience. He isn't really known for flopping. He might get carried out on a wheelchair once a decade but that isn't giving Celtics any extra points. He doesn't get to the foul line nearly as often as others of near similar status.
Super srs. I'm not exactly sure what stat you'd use to justify these claims. However, there were plenty of possessions in the last few years where it looked like Pierce's sole intent was to draw a foul. I don't get that same impression from watching Lebron play.

Davis partially teared his knee cap and completely teared his ACL and MCL... Over a year to recuperate, looks like his career has meet its demise. I'm surprised by the amount of ACL injuries this year, you usually see it occur frequently in football.

I'm not surprised, short season, no break from regular to playoffs, a lot of parity which means that the playoffs are tough. a lot of hard ball being played.

I know people have argued that significant injuries happen all the time, even in the postseason, and it's true that some of the injuries have been suffered by players with recent injury issues, but it's still disappointing and a shame that we can't see all of the teams play at full strength against each other during these playoffs.
I don't think the Knicks would have ever beaten the Heat in a 7-game series, but they would have put up a much better fight with Lin and Shumpert playing, and with Baron and Chandler playing at close to 100%.
I'm very disappointed at being unable to see how far the Bulls would have gone this year with a healthy Derrick Rose as I think they have shown themselves to be capable of beating any team in the NBA in a 7-game series. Losing Noah is just pouring salt in that wound.
Even with all the drama and indecision, it is disappointing to see Orlando in the playoffs without D12, who the entire team was built around. They weren't going to win the whole thing, but I think they had it in them to beat the Pacers and be a tough out against any of the contenders. You can never completely rule out a team that can shut down the paint, force double teams, and is capable of knocking double-digit 3s each game.
That's one team missing crucial role players, and two that are missing their franchise players who their teams were built around. Disappointing, even if it not wholly surprising.

^ Ya I agree. As far the Eastern conference playoffs go it really is a shame. This could have been one of the better/more interesting postseasons in a while if not for some of the Eastern Conf. injuries. Not to knock on the West b/c the series have been more than good so far imo and it really is hard to predict who will come out.

Boston is also missing Jeff Green, and to a lesser extent Wilcox
Atlanta is missing Josh Smith, Horford and Zaza.

Jermaine O'Neal's out, and I heard Avery Bradley got injured.

The Jazz are going to be a good team next year. They are again playing admirably, their shots just weren't dropping late in the third and early in the fourth and Ginobili hasn't missed.

Your team's playoff livelihood is on the line with 40 seconds to go and you're down by 4 and you give Tony Parker the widest open layup hes ever had in his life.
