Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

interesting changes but blizzard need to realise that terran is so far ahead in terms of balance that they need to actually change the core units of terran instead of triing to give gimmicky options to the 2 underdogs races
pretty sure korean terran progamers suggested bigger nerf lol

I'm not a big fan of these changes. I'd like to see how blue flame hellions work after this "nerf."

I do like the ramp change tho, makes it harder for blink stalkers and scouting up the ramp.

Of course it's not final and that's why I use words such as 'fear' and 'might'. I'm not trying to state facts here.

Indeed. It's really in the nature of the game. 3 races + new expansion coming out. Maybe we can actually call it 'balanced' and 'done' in 10 years of time. Hehe. That's also why the community should value other factors much higher than just raw game balance.
Protoss win, Protoss OP. Terran win, Terran OP. Zerg win, Zerg OP. Less whine, more gg.

Can't be. PvZ blink all-in gets restricted by the +2 attack, which makes the stalkers do good damage.
Blink usually gets finished before +2.

Fungal needed a bigger nerf, and neural now takes into account upgrades which makes infestors much stronger, despite the fact that people think it's a big nerf.

Yea actually the only reason why 4 gate works currently is because of vision on ramps, as u can warp units into his main with just 1 unit halfway on ramp, seeing as that is now nerfed, force fielding your ramp just became alot more viable. So in fact you will see LESS 4 gates. As far as 1/1/1. Only morons belive that is that OP. 1 gate Robo, allows you to confirm that build very quickly, which in turn allows you to rush to HT. 4 storms+feedback RAPE that garbage. As far as infestors go, neural needed a buff, not having upgrades on units you control is a joke. Yes fungal needed a nerf and it got it. Back to the pits of hell with you.

The ramp change sounds pretty good, but in general I feel like Blizzard should have waited longer before patching some parts of the game. I'd love to hear the rationale for the Barracks build time increase, plus the blue flame change feels harsh.

Personally, as a zerg, I don't like the infestor changes (biased, I know), I mean all it would of taken to prevent a fungal would be to feedback or EMP. And even if you didn't, you had to bring infestors very close to the front line to fungal thus exposing them to snipes.

Oh really explain why, because I have seen that build get raped time and time again. Liquid tyler suggested 1 gate robo, and it works well. Are you better than liquid tyler? Explain why it doesnt work.

Oh really explain why, because I have seen that build get raped time and time again. Liquid tyler suggested 1 gate robo, and it works well. Are you better than liquid tyler? Explain why it doesnt work.

1gate robo into 4+ templar with storm simply isn't possible to get by the time 1/1/1 hits. Explain why...because the buildings take too long to make and the research takes too long? It's just..not possible..

Countless better players than Tyler disagree with him so bringing him up is kinda silly.

the change to fungal only effects how many fungals it takes to kill higher tech units like archons, immortals, pheonix and void rays. same number of fungals to kill sentries, stalkers, zealots HTs etc.

Thank god for the BF helion nerf. Seems like now letting helions into your base isn't an autoloss! I don't think the fungal nerf is that big of a nerf really. It went from 36+ 30%, which is 46.8, to 40. 6.8 dmg nerf v armored (15%) and 36-30 v non (17%). That's a good call. I think we'll still see infestors, and Destiny won't have to switch careers
