Putting Jaedong out first is even riskier than it was against KTF. CJ has incredible depth and intelligence, and it will all be focused on knocking him out as soon as possible. I wouldn't put it past Effort to 4pool, to be honest, and Jaedong should definitely scout with his 9th drone in the non-mirror matches. There's no telling what crazy builds CJ has cooked up to take him out. Of course, even with all the preparation in the world, a Jaedong all-kill is still possible. If he's not shot down in the first two games, his momentum should carry him through to, if not an all-kill, at least a Hwaseung victory.
I think the reasoning behind Jaedong's placement is more due to the map pool than anything else. It also forces CJ to narrow their planning down to dealing with him in a way that a Hiya-start would not and thus increases Hwaseung's chances in the event of a loss from Jaedong. Maps 2-4 are reasonably Terran-friendly, and Hiya can be expected to step in the event of a Jaedong loss to stop the bleeding and finish the job Jaedong started. Maps 5-7 are Protoss friendly, and if both teams are still alive after four games Young will be sent out. Lecaf's fourth slot will go to Lomo, or less likely Backho, who aren't very good but might be able to steal a win if need be. Oz's gameplan is about as solid as it can possibly be, but that alone has never guaranteed a victory.
Sending Effort out is a very smart move by CJ. He's the only CJ Zerg that has a viable chance of defeating Jaedong, and putting him first will amplify the effects of his potential victory greatly. If Effort wins, there's a strong chance that Effort will all-kill, and even if he doesn't he'll open the door for Savior to demonstrate his non-mirror play against the rest of Oz. I'm expecting CJ's quartet to consist of Effort, Skyhigh, Iris, and Savior (with the ever-present possibility of a surprise appearance by Much). These are all dangerous opponents, and any one of them could break out and execute a triple kill or all kill. That's been CJ's strength throughout all of Winner's League, and it's why they've been able to relax for two weeks while Oz has had to play other teams to secure a shot at the title.
Anything could happen. I love both teams, and I hope we see some great matches regardless of who wins. Go CJ! Go OZ!
