You must be joking. Have you even looked at his opponent list? He took games off Leta and Jaedong during times when they were on fire. And during this series, Jaedong just came off an all-kill of KTF and nearly did the same to cj.

Skyhigh always impressed me when he played. Was fucking clutch as shit though last night.
I went out drinking early because we have beer pong tournaments on fridays; when I got home at 1:30ish and came home to click the results tag and it was tied 3:3 I almost jizzed myself.

Why is everyone saying is a one man team. They came in second and it wasn't ALL Jaedong.

Backho and Hiya aren't really nobodies. Backho is better than people on TL give him credit for and same goes for Hiya.
Also, a year ago, Lomo was really good. His micro vs Kwanro on Colloseum was something everyone was talking about and he even put up a good fight against Flash during the Arena MSL.

B'guh. I understand why they 5 pooled but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Jaedong mauled SkyHigh straight up twice in MSL qualifiers. Jaedong beat fricking Flash on this map last week. Bah.
Zero fighting.

You're right.

It was all Hiya and Jaedong.

It's still problematic.

Oz desperately, desperately needs ForGG back and Backho to win. Or else JD will get sniped, again, and again, and again...

I know everyone bashes Ozs lineup, but I belive that there are some great potential in Young for example, and they are indeed breathing their own players which will turn out to be good in the long run. If BackHo gets back on track, and Lomo gets his fucking shit together I can see Oz be a really deep team too.

Right now though, JD is basically the entire team. Sadly :/

OZ is a shell of their former selves when they had ForGG coming off an MSL championship and Backho sniping players like Stork left and right. Still, they're damn good.. and I have no doubt that their coach is gonna raise some more awesome players, he seems to be pretty good at that.

well if u have to send out spear in the finals you rooster isnt exactly deep..

I sure hope some new players will rise. Look at CJ for exaple with effort and skyhigh becoming awesome players, we see no such player in Oz and they really need it.
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

Once again, Jaedong's 5-pool or his 'emotions' didn't fail him. His choice of BO was genius, as Skyhigh was totally not expecting that. The 5-pool would have worked if Jaedong had executed it properly, but he didn't. After he killed the first 2 marines, he stopped building lings, went for ling speed, made no sunks, etc. The 5-pool was a GOOD decision, the execution wasn't.

Also about Skyhigh vs. Hiya, SH lost a ton of units trying to attack Hiya's 3, despite Hiya having only 2 tanks on the high ground and 1 on the low. Just before that Hiya sacrificed several unsieged tanks to SH's sieged tanks and vultures. If Hiya had saved those units for defense, he likely would have held 3. He even had a wraith or two to prevent drops (which was subsequently taken out by goliaths once SH overran Hiya's 3. And even if for some reason SH hadn't been able to hold 3, SH would lose a lot of units taking it, and the game would revert to even with both having 3 bases.

I'm pretty sure it made sense for Jaedong to 5-pool against a zerg sniper who'd been practicing to kill him, on a heavily terran favoured map, when he had 3 teammates waiting to "finish the job" (lol).

You can't blame Jaedong for Lecaf's inability to close out a won series.

SkyHigh wasn't a sniper -_____-;;

He was OZ's last hope, and guess what? he raped.

Finally got to watch all of the games (slept after game 2).

Game 1: Jaedong rode his 1 drone kill to victory. Nice scourge micro at the end, but I think he had a greater muta count anyway.

Game 2: I thought Iris played a really great game actually. At one point, he killed Jaedong's entire group of Mutalisks, I thought he would have won for sure. I think the problem was that he wasn't aggressive enough (irony) and missed the tiny timing windows he had (there were two or three by my count). Jaedong really made mutas seem imba in this game. Iris's repsonse wasn't bad, just a few seconds off with the attacks.

Game 3: I don't understand why zerg players never leave the OL in the other player's base anymore (afraid of getting killed by initial mutas?) Great play by Jaedong again. He knew he had the upperhand by being the better player.

Game 4: Clutch game. Jaedong's choice to cheese was really unexpected, but logical and reasonable. His drone scout timing was "off" by maybe 1 - 2 seconds, but I don't know if that could be prevented given that he needed 150 minerals for six lings. It seemed that he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. He started producing drones after the first wave of lings. Had he continued with lings, perhaps it would have worked? SkyHigh had pretty decent reaction (not so much good micro) against the lings, and he's got the mentality right: all he had to do was fend off the lings to have an advantage. Timing was good afterwards. Also, if Jaedong sent scout towards seven, it might have worked too.

Game 5: Ballsy move by SkyHigh, maybe he practised for that. Amazing reaction to FE on Col2.

Game 6: D+ noob -_-;; I swear he made more mistakes than I would have (playing people against my level, obviously). The build was pretty terrible to begin with, and the lack of ob was just astounding. He lost so many stray goons to mines he shame even Rock. The tank lure was pure genius.

Game 7: I don't exactly how or when he turned it round, but SkyHigh did it. It seemed that SkyHigh had a better understanding of the map than Hiya. Hiya's strategy primarily involved A-move towards the opposite main, whereas SkyHigh fully exploited the high grounds and the alternative routes. Hiya is potentially a better overall player, but I really don't think Oz planned for a game 7, whereas CJ definitely did.

A nice analysis. TY for that.

If Skyhigh ever beats Flash he'll go from A class to S class.
