If they send out a zerg (which they did) it's generally an autowin, especially with his ZvZ series the day before (which he's most likely going to win - I predict 3-0 ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) ). So after his series he'll "only" have to prepare some ZvT first and then some ZvP as I consider CJ's Terran roster to be better than their Protosses. The downside is everyone on CJ is preparing for/aiming to snipe Jaedong. God what a burden he must bare! Glad it's not me - or Jangbi's nerves ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) I generally agree with it being CJ vs. Jaedong and if JD looses then Oz might fail to deliver. I'm also wondering what's the most important: Jaedong's individual league or the team performance? JD should take the OSL more serious but maybe the coach finds more prestige in the Winner's League? Or maybe not since it's not Proleague? Anyway with a ZvZ with JD it should be a walkover for him leaving less debate about which is more important I guess. Did Jaedong rise to the challenge and said "hey, I'll do it!" or did the coach "force" him to it, claiming if we're going to win then you're going to win, even though everyone is now running and gunning at you? If it was all just straightup standard games I'd give Jaedong a very good shot of an all-kill (and still do!) but at the same time I'm worried about Effort 5-pooling him or a lot of chesse and stuff. Not that it's not legal to do but I'm hoping skill will prevail and not luck. Maybe I'm just getting a bit out of hand now? ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif) Also just for kicks could anyone give a rough calculation of Jaedong's rating if he 3-0 by.hero and 4-0 CJ? It's a possibility and even if it doesn't turn out that way it could still be cool just to see if he would've in fact beaten Bisu's Elo peak ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) One last thing I'm pondering about if Jaedong all-kills CJ. How does the other team members feel about that? I know the coach and the players will be happy about their victory but still when it's "only" ONE persons achievement that should be credited? Yes the others have helped the team get them this far but now in the finals it's the best of the best. Just wondering if there'd be some mixed feelings. Well, Haya did alot of hard work during the group stage, and good training partners are surely not to be underestimated. So I think they will be happy as a team. But lets see what happens. Maybe Jaedong fails and BackHo takes the glory, or perhaps savior (LOL)
Haha vi er begge fra Danmark, og holder begge med Oz, fedt nok ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)

I think Skyhigh or Iris on any of the terranfavoured maps have the best shot at sniping jaedong. Im always scared at watching jaedongs zvz, coz im routing for him and i dont understand that matchup sometimes. zvz is pretty simple: on one side of the map, you have one zerg who do either 12 hatch, 4 pool, 6 pool, 9 pool or overpool, and on the otherside of the map, there is Jaedong who wins.
yeah its something like that. it scares me.

The team Jaedong Oz will win --

Considering the sheer amount of reputation and prize on the line, I imagine CJ will try to cheese Jaedong every game. If none of KTF's all stars can defeat Jaedong straight up, I don't see how anyone on CJ Entus can.
However, CJ's already cheesed Jaedong once before on Destination. So Jaedong knows this is coming.
Maybe they'll send Skyhigh out and do a fake cheese, similar to that one game where Upmagic hid his barracks on the right side of his main on Destination and his opponent freaked out and kept trying to find where the nonexistent proxy was.
In any case I'm eager to see how this plays out. It's a tough call, but I'm going to put my money on Jaedong all killing CJ.

Screw my predictions, the hard thing about predicting the finals is that you don't know what the order of Jaedong all kill will be.

SAVIOR ALL KILL PLEASE.
How cool would that be

Really? I thought they sent him out first because everyone else sucks.

Jaedong vs Savior is the only matchup in the world where i will not root for Savior.
Usually when all-kill is expected or seems guaranteed, it doesn't happen. It's hard to go 4-0 vs different prepared people at pro level.

"Can"? We know Flash can beat Jaedong. HoeJJa (not a star yet) took JD to the edge and (imo) would have won with better decision-making. It may be Jaedong, but he's still mortal.
That said, Jaedong is clearly the best player in this series, but players I would say stand a chance? Um, Effort and Iris, and one of the CJ toss if they train specifically for the matchup. Alternatively, you might say anyone on CJ - they don't have a star (except for Ma Jae Yoon, of course, and he's past bonjwa days), but they're really deep as a team.

Much!
Don't forget everyone uses Much as a training partner so obviously he's doing something right.

I know JD's ZvZ is monstrous, but I'm really worried that Effort can snipe him. The last time they played, it was really, really close. If Effort's build counters jaedongs, it could be game over for hwaseung.

Putting Jaedong out first is even riskier than it was against KTF. CJ has incredible depth and intelligence, and it will all be focused on knocking him out as soon as possible. I wouldn't put it past Effort to 4pool, to be honest, and Jaedong should definitely scout with his 9th drone in the non-mirror matches. There's no telling what crazy builds CJ has cooked up to take him out. Of course, even with all the preparation in the world, a Jaedong all-kill is still possible. If he's not shot down in the first two games, his momentum should carry him through to, if not an all-kill, at least a Hwaseung victory.
I think the reasoning behind Jaedong's placement is more due to the map pool than anything else. It also forces CJ to narrow their planning down to dealing with him in a way that a Hiya-start would not and thus increases Hwaseung's chances in the event of a loss from Jaedong. Maps 2-4 are reasonably Terran-friendly, and Hiya can be expected to step in the event of a Jaedong loss to stop the bleeding and finish the job Jaedong started. Maps 5-7 are Protoss friendly, and if both teams are still alive after four games Young will be sent out. Lecaf's fourth slot will go to Lomo, or less likely Backho, who aren't very good but might be able to steal a win if need be. Oz's gameplan is about as solid as it can possibly be, but that alone has never guaranteed a victory.
Sending Effort out is a very smart move by CJ. He's the only CJ Zerg that has a viable chance of defeating Jaedong, and putting him first will amplify the effects of his potential victory greatly. If Effort wins, there's a strong chance that Effort will all-kill, and even if he doesn't he'll open the door for Savior to demonstrate his non-mirror play against the rest of Oz. I'm expecting CJ's quartet to consist of Effort, Skyhigh, Iris, and Savior (with the ever-present possibility of a surprise appearance by Much). These are all dangerous opponents, and any one of them could break out and execute a triple kill or all kill. That's been CJ's strength throughout all of Winner's League, and it's why they've been able to relax for two weeks while Oz has had to play other teams to secure a shot at the title.
Anything could happen. I love both teams, and I hope we see some great matches regardless of who wins. Go CJ! Go OZ!
|
The bad thing about Oz is that if Jaedong loses, Oz will lose, especially since ForGG is gone
They need to stop depending on him so much because he probably feels a ton of pressure atm
Either way I can see desperate CJ Terrans trying to cheese Jaedong in the coming series
Jaedong do an all-kill! please
|
There is no way Jaedong can get another all kill. Or can he? There is no way that any player can be that good. What would it be if he all killed CJ...four all kills? Yeah, there's no way...but maybe...maybe...
I'm so torn...
