That said I wouldn't mind to watch Nyoken solo cast live instead. Cheers!!!!!! I'm so glad I switched after game 2. For the entire Kespa era I watched KR... so it's great to listen to... I prefer it as well unless it's extremely entertaining like Tastosis or very informative like Nyoken or Scan... cheers... Wow Flash crushed it

Jaedongs micro and aggression. Soulkey and Efforts wonderfully thought out transitions to mid/lategame. And he is an innovator strategically as well. He has the best game sense of any zerg right now, with the strongest mutas, only jaedongs lings seem to be microed better. He is the most perfect Zerg we have had up until now, and is a fine and fitting representative of the swarm against Flash. Will Soma prove himself legendary beyond doubt or will Flash get his fifth star? I think every result possible is possible with these two. What an amazing way to end ASL. Fk ya!

Wow Flash crushed it I watch the Korean stream and cover up the supply indicator. Too many English commentators reference the supply and 95% of games' outcomes can be predicted by it. I prefer the suspense of not knowing who is leading because it makes things more exciting and feels like I'm watching broodwar from decades past. I watch Tastosis and whatever jinjin graciously provides translations for after the fact for analysis.

Interviewer: Let’s meet the player Flash, who has made it to the finals with a brilliant performance on stage. Congratulations! Flash: Thank you. Interviewer: You showed a flawless 4-0 performance and advanced to the finals. It feels like calling you the best Terran of this season is not enough; you showed the strongest Terran form. How do you feel right now? Flash: I thought it wouldn’t be easy, but I won more easily than expected, so I’m really happy. I feel like I’m regaining my old form step by step. Compared to my past form, I think I’m over 90% back. In the finals, I’ll be at 100% and beat Soma Interviewer: When it was decided you’d face Light, you said he’s like a machine, so you’d have to push with tempo. And just as you said, in all four sets, you dominated with speed. Did things go exactly as you prepared? Flash: Yes, everything fell into place. I focused on optimization, and I believed I was better at optimizing. I thought if I pushed early, I’d create a gap. I prepared to be aggressive early, and if it didn’t work, I’d defend. But today, my hands were in great shape, so I didn’t feel like I’d lose. Interviewer: From the first set, your aggressive mindset was clear. Even when his siege tanks were in place, you went in. Did you decide you could break through, or was it a let’s try it mentality? Flash: The situation was good, so even if blocked, I could handle it. I went in confident I could break through, and it worked out. Interviewer: Now I wonder how Soma feels facing you at 100% in the finals. How do you feel facing him in the finals? Flash: In this season, I faced tough opponents: Bisu, Jaedong, Snow, Light. If I beat Soma, it’s a perfect story - coming back after 6 years. I’m happy about how it turned out. It’s not easy, I still question whether I’m really back or not.. After 6 years, I’m here to prove myself and win. Interviewer: For fans, the excitement of a 5th championship is high. Since you said you’re nearly at peak form, we’re all excited. Any words for fans and colleagues? Flash: Thanks to my friends who came to support me. Bo-sung (Sea?) always supports my games, so thanks to him. Thanks to Yeong-jin (Rush?), Gyu-hyung (Barracks?), and Mong for practice. Thanks to Cheol-gu (Terror) at home. I’ll win the finals and shout out again. To fans: it wasn’t easy, but I made it to the finals. I wanted to prove myself. Thanks to your support, I’ll try my best. The reigning champion Soma—I’ll reclaim the crown that was mine.

Also makes me sad Effort didn't participate. If this really is Flash's last ASL, we'll always have to wonder "what if" Flash did SO well. And last time I'll mention it but I called that Light should have BBS'd game 4... stuff like that really makes me smh, gotta have a tough mindset if you are going to contend Light! . GGs

What Flash does that is a bit different lately is completely cutting gas mining, not leaving one on gas, and other small switches. For game 1, I guess you could assume that the optimization end goal was hitting 5 vultures reaching close-location natural by 5:15 (while obviously not delaying CC and maximizing SCV count within the goal scope) I'm not a TvT expert so I can't tell if Flash cut any corners that would get him killed by a dedicated rush, though. That said, Flash is OCD enough to have a different optimization plan for each individual spawn location on each map, due to mining speed differences.

Literally every single engagement and moment FlaSh was ahead, god damn. I almost hate how good FlaSh is, but it makes me appreciate the old days when FanTaSy finally started to get the upper hand against FlaSh in TvT even more since it just goes to show how good both players were back then. I want to believe Soma has a chance, but honestly FlaSh seems to be on god mode again and I think if he plays as insanely well in the finals as he did today against Light then I don't think there's any chance. I want there to be though! I just hope it's a good finals series. I almost feel like Leta would've done better against the FlaSh we saw today which is crazy to think, but Light tried playing it very standard and got wrecked lol On May 12 2026 20:07 Peeano wrote: Fantasy needs to come out of retirement and show Light the power of D-Matrix. + Show Spoiler + I know you're reading this, Qikz I found this looking back through the thread lol
