So I'd like to take what I can get (even if it is ridiculous to ban random in a fun tournament, you all take this WAAAAY to serious. Like really?). I wanna play "Random and tell" and I am fine with my matchup being annonymous, so I do not know my opponent race until just before the match, too.
But I'd like to apply for D or at least D+ skill level. I have roughly played 60 or 70 1on1 in the past 3 years (including like 20 or 30 DRTL/CRTL games). Yes I have hit C-, but I am really noobish. Especially playing all 3 races and all 9 matchups.
So please re-evaluate my ranking to D or D+. Thank you.

Despite being on the same team, I disagree with this second proposal, first one is up to Lmaster, but no specific practice kind of defeats the purpose of prep leagues.
You want to be both random and to have easier opponents (where playing random will be a greater advantage), for a fun league you care a lot about winning in that case.

Finding myself on both sides of the fence it's both not fun being owned and not fun owning people so hard. It's much more entertaining to play somewhat close games which is hopefully what this will end up doing.

lol, if I would care about winning I would not choose to take the massive disadvantage of playing random. Really most of the people here complaining about random, never played random themselves. Its a massive addition of knowledge you need to understand 9 matchups instead of 3. If I would care about winning, I would play Protoss only (easy race).
I am only asking to re-evaluate my ranking, as I just play some matches yesterday and saw that I suck hard. I do not mind playing in the C- class, as I will have my fun, but I just wanted to say that I am definitly not C- anymore and thus might lower the fun part for the C- players having literally zero competition.

Lmaster, I want to add Caller (T) to our team. He hasn't played since before SC2 came out, and was "barely 3000" then. IMO he sucks and should be a D or D+.
Also, in light of:

I think allowing Panda as a C- player should be fine, especially seeing as you are allowing other former C Rank players into the league.

Matches will be Bo7 given the size of teams. I'm thinking 3 C- players, 2 D+ players, and one D player given the distributions. If those don't sound good, what would you guys like to see?
For simplicity sake, I'm inclined to say one map per week. That way people know ahead of time what map to spend their time playing on. Order would go:
FS Desti CB Sniper MP FS Btw, this only adds up to 6 for a best of 7. It's a little different than the way you read it. Each week uses one map for all seven games. I'd be strongly against one map per week. Not only does it reduce the strategy involved on picking the lineup, it'd also be incredibly boring to see the same map played out 4-7 times in a cast. If multiple clanwars are casted on the same day, you could see the same map up to 14 times.

You know, it works massively in MOBAs! Maybe it would help BW to shine again! Who needs diversity anyways???

Are we starting this week or next? Also Saturday or Sunday

Question: Are the matches still played at 20:00 CEST (+02:00h)? Because we are now back in winter time (CET) which is +01:00h.

Apologies for delayed responses, was traveling to my brothers graduation from pilot training.

Come on man, don't give me the passive aggressive stuff. The explanation is good enough. I don't see any reason not to take you at your word, and you're a longstanding TL member so I'm okay with you playing.

Sure, I'm okay with that. If you seem to strong, like any of the others, that may be adjusted.

Caller confirmed at D+. Could be amended either direction depending on just how he looks.

Agreed in principle, however this is a short "quasi-competitive" mini-pilot league. For ease of facilitation and practicing for newer players maps will remain as is.
Rest assured if this goes reasonably well and a full length league is held one map for all matchups will not be the modus operandi for that league.
