Agreed in principle, however this is a short "quasi-competitive" mini-pilot league. For ease of facilitation and practicing for newer players maps will remain as is.

Rest assured if this goes reasonably well and a full length league is held one map for all matchups will not be the modus operandi for that league.

I really don't think ease of facilitation and practicing for new players weighs up to the downsides of having one set map for each round. I request that you poll this, if necessary just with the newer players because I personally feel that having one map per round will be very detrimental to the enjoyment, both in terms of strategy as well as watching casts or casting.

I agree with Artanis. Having one map per week is simply dull. You cannot really have a team strategy by setting up players on different maps etc etc.

I loved the differentiation of maps, since some people were exclussively seeded on some maps, so you could try to snipe the player with one of your own players, which trained specifically for that player. Sometimes the opposing player wasnt seeded or was seeded on a different map, so it was kind of a tactical maneuver.

So please start a poll for it. And since I know you, you might see this too late, so I ll just create one for you. If you do not want to use it, just make another one.

I agree that having different maps provides more variety but it makes it harder to match players against similar ranked players. With different maps you have situations where one team fields a c- player on fs while the other team fields a d player. When its the same map for everyone you can just match the players with their ranks.

I think a way if people want different maps is to have maps different but have them designated with a rank for the week. Like for one week fs is for d players, circuit breaker and sniper ridge for d+ players and the rest for c- players.

I've voted. I don't mind. Playing LESS of the normal maps is better for improvement imo. Which I still think these leagues are about, self-improvement.

I've voted for yes as playing on purely one map as a whole team each week is silly. To become better you need to learn more maps and adapt to them. Sure you could field yourself on FS every week, but then another team will just snipe you.

Besides the point, I don't see how maps are that difficult nowadays. It's not like there's island maps or stuff like Troy around anymore, where suddenly nothing makes sense.
