I would play but i really don't like that map :S.
To further clarify, you have to play TvP differently because you can't secure third easily without going for a heavy midgame push of some sort.
TvZ you have a chance of getting a close air distance, which can be pretty bad for Terran.
Should substitute Python for Circuit Breakers imo, since it is also a 4 player map, but the player spawns are the same FS.
Destination isn't really standard either. People end up playing Mech in TvZ, which i'm not saying is bad, but at lower levels, people should be practicing bio play imo.
HBR is actually a good map for standard play. So is blue storm if you are looking for another good single player map.
Python will probably be in the rotation simple because its the map that EVERYONE knows. Desti, HBR, Tau, et. al will not be.

I'm in, ill create an sgs account because I was planning to anyway.
That said, map pool needs to change IMO.
You can't Forge FE properly on Python, Tau Cross sucks, and HBR is very imbalanced.
The initial rounds should be Fighting Spirit, because everyone knows it and its more balanced than Python.
The other maps should be like others have mentioned, Circuit Breaker, Grandline, Bloody Ridge.
I would also throw in Monte Cristo, and some new proleague maps.

so much good players will create d/d- accounts just to have fun

I believe Python is fine, it gives people the chance to use some oldschool strats such as 2rax fe, 2fact into 5fact timing or even 1 gate core for Protoss. Different maps call for different strategies, you can't rely on your cookie cutter build to work on all maps.

Yeah except 2 fact sucks, and 2 rax FE sucks. They aren't old school because of the maps, they are old school because people have learned to defend against them and come out on top economically.
If you 1 base as Protoss you are instantly behind against a Zerg that can defend against it, same goes for 2 rax and 2 fact.
And the reasoning behind using python is so players can play standard on a map everyone knows. Otherwise the bad players are just gonna play REALLY bad, because they don't know what builds are suitable for what maps. Problem is builds that work on Python are not standard anymore. I bet most D- players use Forge FE, and they are going to use it on python and they are going to lose because of it.
You are going to get a ton of Zergs making it through the early rounds. If I actually play, I might just switch to Zerg from Terran just for Python and just win with 2 hatch speedling muta all-ins.
Fighting Spirit should really be the first map.
EDIT: Realised I probably can't play the whole tourney, coz it will be 4 am and I have to leave for uni at about 7:30. T_T.

Lets just roll with these maps for now, to see how the event goes, like a trial.
Then next tournament we could use better maps, such as Fighting Spirit, Circuit Breakers and Match Point.

We're trying to eliminate this by making people sign up through their TL account. People generally know who's good on here and who's not. No ICCup ID will be able to play that's not written here in this thread and we can tie that ICCup ID to the TL ID. The best we can do if someone is lying about their rank here is just blacklist them from our future tournaments.

Man you are looking way too far into it. This is a D/D- casual tournament. Most players at the D/D- level don't exclusively play the latest maps and the latest builds that the pros do. I'm D+ and 2Gate is my favorite build. I hate FE and hardly ever do it anyway. People at our level don't understand how to take advantage of mistakes in builds or they'd be higher ranked because no one at our level executes a build perfectly. That being said we're looking to add Circuit Breaker and Bloody Ridge in place of Tau and HBR to have a mix of old and new. Wow, 4am, that would be awesome if you made it that early! Remember this tourney is a max of 6 games. I'm expecting it to only last 2-2.5 hrs so maybe you'll be safe.

I guess you have me convinced
I've actually gone from D- to D+ (highest points 2070) within the past couple of days, due to grinding a lot of games lately so I still have a really low win ratio. Up to you if you still want me in the tournament. I am happy to get up at 4am, I will need to get ready for uni at 7:30 though.
