A guy making it to the finals with straight- out dt rushes pretty much sums up D/D- tourneys. It was one awesome tourney though.

I take offense to that. I went DT-expand in the first game, and my opponent had obs. I didn't go DTs against either Terran, I won with normal Protoss play. I went DT expand in every final match. In every game my opponent went obs first into Reaver, which you will note generally does fine against DT expands. I really don't feel that this reaction, which essentially tells me my wins are based on my choice of strategy alone, is warranted.

Great tournament everyone! I have a few closing comments:

First, thanks to all the participants who came out and had fun. I definitely enjoyed watching you guys. Congrats to Ecrilon for the win and to sabas123 for his great run to the finals. We hope to see y'all next time!

Secondly, thanks to the casters and streamers - L_Master, TheNessman, and Nazza - y'all were imperative for making this a success 'cause you let us all watch and enjoy the games together.

Also, big shoutout to Sayle and the organizers of the GosuCup. I didn't realize the GC started this Sunday or a I wouldn't have scheduled at the same time. I will definitely be more aware of that in the future (I had to have y'alls stream open at the same time to watch both).

Lastly, as this was the first tournament we held, there were definitely growing pains. There were moments of clear unprofessionalism and they will be addressed for future tournaments. This includes absolutely NO chatting in game by any observers, and having /dnd on for the participants. It was something that should've been included in the rules, but wasn't. That falls on me as the organizer and I apologize for that.

All in all, I think it went well and it's definitely something we can build on. Be sure to give me any feedback you have about the tourney as I want to take it into consideration for future D/D- tourneys or D+/C- tourneys.

Thanks for watching!

Also, If anybody played games and wants them casted for fun or whatever I'd be more than happy to do so if you submit me the replay, as it gives me a little chance to play around with my casting.

Thanks for the tourney, it was quite well managed for a first.

Next time I hope its like 4-6 hours earlier, by the last game I was so sleepy I couldn't keep my eyes open xD.

That would be midday CEST time, but at least not 4 am on a school day for us aussies/asian players

Hopefully no more python, and the addition of a losers bracket, plus Bo3 for semis, Bo5 for finals (Bo3 for 3rd place i dunno). Maybe?

Thanks again

From what I see the tournament is quite a success
You mean ESPORTS isnt a synonym for SC2? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Proud owner of a Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Blue Switches- BW or SC2? Why not both?
