It's a highly balanced map which works well on the current metagame and allows an easy third for all races, which means it's easier to have macro games on it. Most people like to play more macro oriented games, so it's well suited for that.
Plus people play it so they know it and don't like learning stuff that they don't know, e.g. new maps.

Is there an LRM)Oya reppack? I like his play style and want to get some of his build orders down on paper.

I'm not sure, but since I host thankfully that's never been an issue. I usually play a mix of anything from Match Point to Sniper Ridge.
God I love Match Point (just started back up again recently though in BW haha).

It's just one of the most statistically balanced maps and supports many different strategies. Fighting Spirit. While if we look at the stats on Match Point you'll see a little bit more swing in the match-ups.

My girlfriend gets pissed at me because I throw my mouse when I rage after a game. Actually I'm amazed my mouse still works after all the abuse i've put it through.

does anyone know if savior is streaming ? if yes whats the url ? its ok for me to directly watch on twitch or whatever if its not featured here in TL

He streams on afreeca. You cant watch on twitch unless someone restreams him. Cant give you the link though, try searching for him yourself. 마재윤 if his stream viewer is capped for non members then you wont be able to watch, as you need an account and you have to pay 3$

Why on earth does templar's head sparkle lol? Also: is it considered a bug that splash damage can be dealt fully (I know splash itself is fair enough) under a dark swarm if the unit stands where a missed projectile hits, but non splash damage (marines) can not.
|
not sure what you mean with the splash thing, but it is intended that splash damage works in dark swarm. tanks, reavers, archons all hit their splash

No that's not a bug at all, that's exactly how it's supposed to work.

No that's not a bug at all, that's exactly how it's supposed to work. Seems a bit illogical to me. Let's see, the concept is probably that the foggy nature of dark swarm forces you to miss your targets, kind of makes sense and obviously is intended. If they wanted DS to prevent all damage to the units inside, they would've probably removed all splash damage too. But what happens to non-splash damage then? Imagine infantry shooting in all possible directions: why wouldn't it sometimes kill anything? I guess it's not that big in terms of balance, bio forces killing couple of unfortunate lings is no big deal. upd: I mean any unit with the "splash" type of damage still deals all the damage it possibly could, just the center of it's distribution is being shifted.

Why do so many good protosses skip 1+ when going for the neo-bisu build?
I remember even day9 asked something like that during one of his analysis day9 dailies. Everybody from Bisu to White-ra. A lot of good protoss just don't get it. Maybe to fake out the zerg, but that doesn't seem worth it to me since the zerg can still see it if he sends an overlord also it shouldn't delay your other tech by more than a couple of seconds.

They dont skip it. If by neo bisu build you mean corsair/dt, then its just gotten slightly later in favour of dt harrass and slightly early 3rd. If you mean the +1 speed zeal push then its gotten asap

it isn't skipped but delayed. the increasing frequency of 3 hatch hydra into 5 hatch hydra and ease of defending the zealot rush meant that zerg had the possibility of attacking you before you got the zealot attack or defending the attack by stalling drones and then massing up for hydra bust with which you wouldnt have templar tech to defend with.
this meant that air control and tech was proving slowly that it was the way to go. and in the place of +1 weapons had to be gas spent in that direction to be able to cover all possbilities.

Does anyone know for sure if hatcheries spawn larvae slower then hives? How fast does larvae gets spawned and does it spawn one by one or 3 at the same time? Also hive has 4 larvae instead of 3 if I recall correctly?
