You are going 3 hatch muta, your opponent is on 1 base and you haven't been able to get a scout. At what time should I get a hydra den? I vaguely remember it being halfway through lair completion but I would like a confirmation.

halfway through lair completion would mean youre going 3 hatch hydra. your spire isnt even up yet at that point
you normally put up the den at the same time as your first evo. 9-11 mutas -> 2 simcity hatcheries -> evo and den for simcity -> missile upgrades and lurker upgrades (or speed depending on what you wanna do with the hydras) and then it becomes macro play.

Ah sorry I was vague, I am talking about ZvT. Getting hydras to deal with two port wraith and the fantasy build until the mutas are out.

well against terran if might be worth it to sacrifice an overlord just to see the inside of his base if you having trouble figuring out what hes doing via marine count/movement.
either way, getting a den before lair means you are no longer going 3 hatch muta. 3 hatch muta is lair->spire->900/900->9mutas->2 mutas->expansion->den
if you are going 3 hatch muta but you realise the opponent has gone 2 port wraith just build a den asap along with evo chamber. you will suffer harrassment for a while because your spire will have just finished by the time he starts hitting you with wraiths. just get a spore up at each base with overlord speed and hydras, and then you can either try to control the map with muta production, or just transition into the mid game with lurkers and zerglings.
against fantasy build, just scrap muta production and transition into hydra asap. its a build order loss so you have no choice but to respond with hydras unless you want to just get rolled by goliaths and tanks.

zerg doesnt have 1 build that works against all 3 match ups. you have no choice but to just learn 3 different builds minimum. avoid zvz as it is too rock paper scissors and new players like you may struggle. for zvt and zvp you can go 3 hatch muta with both, but a lot of protosses now dont lose to 3 hatch muta much so you have to play quite well.

But yea you need to basically learn 3 kinda 4 matchups cuz mech Terran instead of bio...

I just picked up Brood War again and for some reason I have around 178 ping to the iCCup server when I have around 65 playing League of Legends. Is there any steps I can take to reduce my ping? It makes playing impossible.

Ping to the server is just that, ping to the server. The server's located in Russia, and you can't reduce that. However, ping to the other player/players is what affects yours playing and latency, not ping to the server. Ping to the server is just how long it takes to change channel and log in and so on.

If the player you're playing against is on the other side of the world, there's little you can do to reduce the ping. Try changing the latency settings in the SCBW options to Low/High/Extra High (default with the iCCup launcher is Extra Low but sometimes it makes it lag more ) and see if that helps at all. With a few players it will just be unplayable, but usually you can get the ping down to perhaps 250 at worse with the vast majority of players, and depending on where you live it can easily be less than 65.

What is the bw economy worker count in effeciency, First worker, second, and third:
1/?/?
Anyone?

Another question related.
You have one mineral field.
You make one worker, sends it to mine minerals. How long till it pays off in seconds?
The second worker, how long till it pays off?
And third, same question. How long?

Lets assume it is a "good mineral field" = In bw, the mineralfields varied alot. So lets assume its the "best" mineral field.

Note its only one mineral field, and would appreciate it if u knew both answers.

You really could've just researched this yourself easily...all workers are 1 pop 50 minerals 0 gas...
As for mining rate this differs slightly depending on how many workers you have(cuz wandering), what race you are (cuz worker collision boxes), and what map and position the base is (cuz believe it or not every location has different mining rates unless you get Freakling to spend a gazillion hours balancing the map) so youd have to heck for yourself since I'm not at a computer right now....just sit there and send one drone to mine and time it and see how long it takes to mine48-56 minerals and that'll be your rough estimate

Well if a probe mines 7 times that's 56 minerals and that takes roughly 45 seconds.

basically we either don't know or don't understand your question. I thought the threads I linked contain all the information necessary to do the math yourself, so apparently I don't understand. Could you clarify what you mean and what you're actually trying to find out?
