I'm really not surprised at all by this. Savior used to be tough as nails. Hopefully he'll make a run for another title soon or at least make it to the Round of 8. That would be a good stepping stone for him.

Cool news, even though we're not going to get to see him actually play for a while. Can't wait to see if the cool news is actually awesome news of a top player returning to form for real.
Also, everyone knows Saviors problems was Confidence and motivation, it had nothing to do with skill or understanding of the game. If Savior played like he had during his height, before the Dark times, he would still be one of the best, even with further developments in the game. If he played Modern, with inspired and innovative play like he use to, I have no doubt that no one would give a shit about Jaedong, because it would all be about the golden mouse wielding Maestro. Those 19 days were a wake up call, he decided to play again. He played like the Maestro, and guess what? The Maestro fucking owns.

Yes! Hopefully, it was not too soon. Now, it's time for Savior to show the world why he was number one for so long! EDIT I agree completely with ScarFace. I get exhausted after playing SC for just a few hours, so imagine what it would be like to play constantly for years... yes, you do get tired! You lose interest, you have no drive left. It looks as though he is getting his drive back finally.

I hope that in addition to his ability to tear asunder anyone foolish enough to enter a game with him he gets back his demonic sense for incoming cheese. Nothing would be more depressing than seeing a top level sAviOr get knocked out of a starleague by BBS / proxy gates, but nothing would be more satisfying than seeing a top level sAviOr demolish any proxy attempt on the road to an OSL win.

I was thinking the same... it would be like a miracle if he suddenly belonged to the top again. One prerequisite for that would be that he not only wins vs. CJ-B but also CJ-A because everyone from CJ-A is not doing too well at the moment. Only if he can show that he's also better than CJ-A, there is hope for him to return to strong form.

Yes and no. Savior lost 0-2 in the last ODT (OSL Round 1) so he will have to go through the offline preliminaries for the OSL. However, he was in the last MSL (going 1-2 in the Ro32), so he will only have to fight through survivor for the MSL (same as Bisu).
The OGN offline preliminaries will be held on the 29th and the 30th.
