I am pretty sure it was broadcasted on the zotac cup channel and the only vod we ever had was the twitch auto vod from that channel, which is probably gone now.
Jesus Christ is this true? Did they really remove them because of China? Anyway I have been searching for them for ages as well. Would really love to watch them

Indeed. If you don't save a vod onto another medium (maybe you can on twitch, dunno), it'll automatically get deleted after a certain time period so this is unlikely due to China and more likely due to no one saving the vods after.
On that note, the vods were linked several posts above this from reddit though those are Larva's vods, but those were the highlights from zotac cup anyways lol

Considering that it was deleted almost immediately, and that Blizzard has been bowing down to China, they were not auto deleted. Zotac did not want those vods to be seen by anyone, and Blizzard pulled them from all sources of media.
this tournament/vods not being up has absolutely nothing to do with blizzard lmao the vods being unavailable came about because everyone in china had a huge fucking sook over how larva treated lx in the games so zotac had to pull damage control, given their factories are located in china and they didn't want to take a dive in reputation in the mainland.

Really mate? Are you seriously gonna stand by that statement?
Blizzard HAD NOTHING to do with this?
Come on man, I know you aren't trying to troll here but wrap your head around it. Blizzard isn't the same anymore.
I don't think the VODs aren't available because of whatever crazy conspiracy of Blizzard having a chinese publisher.
This event was barely a Blizzard event (only so much probably that you have to register events this size with blizzard). It was an event by Zotac. As the name begets. Zotac... is a chinese company.
The person in charge saw the big appeal of the SCR launch event and wanted the same thing. If anything, it was because Zotac China was upset they didn't release what they locally recorded. Honestly, even IF they locally recorded.
Most likely they just didn't save or highlight them. I feel like people would have noticed if they immediately got slashed for some nefarious reason, given how many people watch events they couldn't catch live within the next week or so. It's extremely common not to save these live streams, which generally makes little sense seeing as it takes 30 seconds to highlight an event and it's continuous zero-effort promotion to keep the VODs available.
Take the Starcraft Remastered Launch Event. There was one in Korea with Grrr, Boxer, the real Yellow, Reach, NaDa, Flash, Bisu, Jaedong, a historic event, and definitely worth preserving, right? But apparently not important enough for someone at Twitch's Starcraft account to save the damn VOD. The only evidence that it ever happened is that a private user recorded and uploaded a mirror on Youtube with a stupid watermark.
I still think the funniest part of this whole thing is that Zotac made a big deal about Larva being banned from all future Zotac events, of which there were... zero. Good looking out Zotac.
@JakePlissken: I know you are making a point here, but all of the vods from that event were uploaded on OGN's youtube channel (only in Korean ofc, but they are there). I do agree with your point though, a lot of stuff gets lost over the years, simply because no one saves it.

Thanks for the help. I really hope it does turn up somewhere. Perhaps it is lost in time forever.

Holy shit, that just might be crazy enough to actually work.
I hope we can make a collective effort to reach him. Let's do this.

I can't seem to find the link unfortunately. It must have been taken down...

Hey, thanks for the response. But your claim that they didn't record an event that they hosted is pretty ridiculous for the lack of a better term. I hope you realize that.

I worked behind the scenes and watched how production went. Where were you? They had troubles. It's not that ridiculous to not locally record, the amount of esports events that don't think to backup I've worked with is an amazing amount. I was just the observer, I didn't want to go fixing their stuff.

Indeed. What's more bizzare is that he's trying to pin this on blizzard when they had no hand in it at all. For all of Blizzard's fault, this is the one time that I'm willing to let them off the hook haha.
Yeah, Zotac cup was not a Blizzard event and these vods were never on a Blizzard channel. If they aren't up on the Zotac channel any more you might be out of luck =/

I'm confused. No one is trying to blame blizzard for the missing vods. It was the chinese who took down the vods, but also the chinese who blizzard as a company is bowing down to for money while undermining basic human rights.
All we want is to have a collective effort to find the vods if it's out there. Let's not make this bigger than it should be.

Gotcha it just seems like you are implying that it wasn't just Zotac taking down their own vods
