But due to lack of coders for iccup bw section, I'm quite sure iCCup will stay on 1.16.1 quite a while which shouldn't be a problem at all ![]()

Community is splitted, some of ppl gonna play 1.16 icc, some 1.16 fish, some 1.18 with bugs,, im in no mood to click through the whole thread. Can somebody give me a quick sum up why we can play with 1.16 and 1.18 on fish? Does fish have two servers now? Whats going on?

I've played the 1.18 myself and watched countless progamers express dissapointment. I'll start off a list of complaints I've seen. I hope somone posts this on sc forum. -No more Eud which means no more creative ums like random tower def, super mario, one punch man, or kpop defense. These UMS were very important part of fish server and sc community. We had thousands playing random tower defense and other trendy ums every month. Now that EUD is gone, UMS community is SHATTERED. There's only outdated ones. -Hotley inputs are slow. Pros said whenever they hotkey a group of units or buildings really fast the hotkey does not register. - Effort said mutas feel very heavy and feels very hard to micro. - mouse feels very heavy compared to 1.16 - B.net interface is HORRIBLE. On ladder channel you can't spam whispers to people in ladder and instead you have to manually type their ids to send them msg to ladder. The process of creating also feels very slos. Overall Ui looks ugly and not clickable. -No gamma correction to adjust screen lighting. This makes sc screen dark - no /f m /f l /w in game - this is big. You can't seem to create passworded game for your friend to come in. Your friend will get INVALID password even if your friend typed it out correctly. -game lan is bad. Seems slower than normal #l2. I really hope blizzard fixes these issues. These are HUGE. I see progamers express so much dissapointment on afreeca streams.

Usually, if you have them more than 2 words to be translated, you get non-sense xD But ... is it true that Fish upgrades back to 1.16.1? Google translate received some serious improvements for a number of languages recently (korean one of them). There are a number of long form articles about it if you search around (fruits of machine learning efforts). This thread is very disappointing I guess they still have time to get things right but not a great first impression i guess?

A little, but according to TT1 they started with a huge list of bugs and many of them have been fixed up to this point. If they keep fixing bugs, the premature release turns out to really be no big deal. Basically the same of thinking of this as PTR5. The real question is why release the clearly unfinished 1.18 early, unless they really felt they were at the point they needed to test on a large variety of hardware/software setups (which seems unlikely given there were already many known issues)?

I'm just saying the floor for W7 is the new requirements for BW 1.18.So it should be able to run on any computer from the past 12 years as opposed to every computer from the past 20. If you still have to use Win XP because your PC is from 15 years ago and you can't afford a new machine, please do yourself a favour and install a light Linux variant like Xubuntu. You'll have a more secure PC with a modern UI designed in this decade and you can still use all your old Windows games and applications through the WINE windows emulator. I haven't tried 1.18 with it yet, but I bet it'll run fine, because 1.16 was working too.

Perhaps it's only an issue for some.

Really bad decision in case they don't want to bring them back. I really hoped that SCR would unite the BW and SC2 community and making Starcraft really great again, but without customizable hotkeys the majority of SC2 players won't switch ![]() If koreans said that custom hotkeys need to go then they're really dumb. More players means more viewers which means more sponsors which means more tournaments which means more money.

Half the time it then randomly doesnt lag in game (and by bad pre game lag im talking sitting there for 2-3 minutes on 0 second countdowns) or it lags unbearably. Anyone else getting this? -_- I routinely have gotten 5-20s or so, but never 2 minutes no. Usually in game it's not too bad, and when it's a little laggy setting to high/extra high usually fixes it. One thing I do like is that EH lat is nowhere near as delayed as it used to be on ICC
