According to starlog.gg the European Server has 60-600 players on any given day. As you said yourself, iccup would hit 400 peak on weekends. Iccup would also have 50-200 during most weekdays. I think it's quiet apparent that any Remastered server is more popular than Iccup was in 2017. Of course pre SC2, iccup had way more users than the eu server has now. Also keep in mind that the matchmaking is global, so even if only 10 people were playing on Europe it wouldn't mean matchmaking takes forever. I find games in 10-60 seconds 24/7. I think long que times are either related to your MMR or your internet connection.

I just witnessed the most epic Jaedong vs. Flash macro game on CB. + Show Spoiler +Seriously, Jaedong pulled off a larva tier macro game. He didn't do some 22 minute all-in attack that gets held off by Flash like he's done before. He played to the maps strengths of taking over his half of the map quickly while defending Flash's attacks and doing some incredible counters. Truly epic. I will link the VOD when I get a chance.

I thought JD wasn't anywhere near maxed, so pulling this win out of nowhere and seeing Flash's supply dwindle was astonishing. Maxed mech with bank to back it up is usually a death sentence for zerg. Looking at JD's view he had a pretty big bank for himself, but still, to overcome 8k minerals is just insane.

It seems that when you make new account and your MMR is around 1500-1700, the queue often fails to find game, but maybe less so after 1700 been my experience so far~ erratic it was easier to find and play game on iccup at D anytime^^ but if it does work consistent 10-60 sec 24/7 after 1700 or so, that's good

I have been using a profile with less than 20 match made games played (1600 MMR) all day and still had the same 10-60 sec wait time. I did create it back in September though. Of course if you can host you get constant games with like 5 sec wait time on iccup. SCR seems to be better at actually matching me with people on my level, though.

Before sc2's announcement ICCUP was hovering around 700-800 players daily, and jumped to over a grand for a while after it was announced. Its been years so my memory isnt the most reliable, but I dont think iccup ever had more than like 1k or so players a day.
@Promethus: The server your on doesnt relate in any way to match making, its a global ladder. If you get cancelled games once they are found, its because someone cancelled the search or they lagged out, its just a glitch. SC:R has way more people than BW did just before it was released, both foreign and korean.

Okay, what the hell.
I just played 15 ladder games. Out of those i had 13 ZvZ and 2 ZvPs. No terrans anywhere and what the fuck is wrong with Zs?
It simply can't be that there are only Z players. Especially on the MMR Levels 1700-1800 i think there should be waaay more protoss players, and of course some terrans, too. Anyone else experiencing these laughable racial distributions? Is this some matchmaking bug or are there actually Zerg players only? From my experience Z used to be the underrepresented race because it was the hardest to get into.
This is really frustrating. It's cool to have some ZvZ from time to time, but really, 8 games in a row?

I've been hovering around 2100-2300 for a while now and pretty much only play ZvP and ZvZ. About 1 game in 20 in ZvT, 6 in 20 ZvP and 13 in 20 ZvZ. That's with an ~250 game sample size.
I am actually in the process of trying to learn P now, just cause I'm so tired of ZvZ.
I have found that it's much more likely to get T opponents during Korean peak hours. (~4AM-10AM CST) And also when I started a new profile to practice P I ran into a few T players early on. Seems like they get much more rare above 1800 or so.

Unfortunately this is common at that MMR. I only got ZvZ, some ZvP and ZvT was rare. Once you hit 2k you start getting a lot more terran's, but yeah... Not very fun.

did they fix the alt tabbing problem and it freezing streams? :o

What the fuck is this 5: 9 Connection lost trying to advertise game? Never had this issue before.
I swear if Blizzard makes it so I can't host anymore I'm going to flip a fucking shit.

+ Show Spoiler +Soulkey is 2:0 vs Flash right now, playing the third game
seems like the way to go for Z is to let T get a bank of 8k and then sauron it

just wanna say that I am loving the new maps. i never realized how good it was to be able to play maps that are not Fighting spirit. We had CB and a couple others last season, but having so much more this time around has been a blessing. I am loving Tau Cross especially. Not sure why but that map has been good to me. I think it's because of the huge open spaces.

apparently tiny land got dmca'd and his channel got deleted from youtube, rip.

Damn, I liked his channel to. I was wondering what happened to him. Curious as to what video got him shut down.

I was looking for a video by Firebathero where he demonstrates various bugs of BW. Cannot find the video. Can anyone provide me with a link, please?
