The MMR ghost matches and ladder situation better be fixed and updated fast... if global ladder doesnt work, just make it not global...
still waiting on interface bugs like /W, /R and /F L to be fixed so they work again, and finished chat with icons showing up or smtg I guess (though because they're portraits or larger images instead of icons, not sure how its going to work with such small squares~~~~~~~~). bleh, a small fun thing that's not there, but fix the damnit functionalities T_T
edit: there is now icons in chat -.- a step forward -.-

I realize you DL maps to the Download-Folder before you play them, e.g. the current ladder-maps, and you find some in the popular maps folder, but I guess there is no source yet to download more maps manually? What about all the good ol' stuff like HBR, EC, Colo, Sniper etc.? you can always download the ICCup map pack if you want.

It sounds like they're going to settle on a fixed turn rate rather than adaptive, kinda disappointing.

Please, can you skip the global ladder. LAG is ruining the experience. Every 1/3 games there is this huge lag game. I either go a fast all-in or leave the game. Not enough players for european players? Maybe. Make a design patch to attract players :D

can''t play ladder at all right now

Guys, Iccup is still up and running, just for your info. Could need some more players now and then
|
they need to get their act together with the public server so that we all play on there imo MM is rly good, with random map in map pool, and the MMR system if it wasn't bugged I think its better than ICCup rank system even from previous ICCup and hiding on private servers is like a drain of the active competitive players over time, harder to find, separated from the less competitive players..

Has anyone seen this video? This was great, for someone like me who haven't followed the BW scene for that long I found this video pretty informative. It shows the top 10 BW players from 1999 to 2012.

I didn't see any discussion about it but is anyone else a bit disappointed at some of the graphics/animations in SC:R? Especially death animations and movement animations. It seems minor but when you have been used to SC and these are fundamental visual elements that you view all game long... certainly zerglings were immediately noticeable as well as many others.. I don't know how to describe it other than they are 'disappointing'. They remind me of other 90s RTS.

yeah death animations suck compared to the original. I play with old school graphics cause I feel like I have a way better view of what's actually going on that way.
|
I love all the animations. Maybe I just didn't play enough of the original but I really couldn't be happier with the new graphics.
|
took some getting used to but love the new graphics too

A lot of stuff is done really well, but the death animations are probably the lowest point of the game. The Zealot in particular looks like they ripped a generic explosion sprite from the original Doom and turned it blue. Bears absolutely no resemblance to the iconic original.
At least they didn't ruin blue goo...

When I go b.net ladder and click to see friends I can only see myself and 2 other friends' accounts, in total 5 accounts(incl. myself). Have a bunch more friends, both Btag and RealID, can't see them. Any1 has the same problem? (inb4 no friends FeelsBadMan I will be your friend add chuDr3t4#1568 EU).

Is there a reason why Koreans in particular are so prone to disconnecting at the end of games? I think a literal majority of korean opponents I have disconnect when they lose, but I don't think it has happened even once with a nonkorean. At first I thought it was a funny throwback to 1999, like 'haha wow, that's been a while', but now it's like, wtf? I don't understand how that many people can be that immature.

Seems like a lot of the mid-level Koreans on ladder are really bm, especially toward foreigners. I never experienced it on Fish server, but they often bm and disc if they lose.

I've been flamed a couple of times when I won non-cheesy regular games. By what I presume is other europeans. Then again it's at around 1500 MMR. So I don't think it's just koreans.
