What kind of noob waits until 3 larvas to build drones

Why is everyone discussing if it makes the individual player better when they change their hotkeys? Of course the game get's more comfortable, and you make less mistakes with some hotkeys, or you even have more apm to do other stuff. However, the ONLY issue that could arise is racial imbalance and i don't see why that should occur right now. And as always the community has dealt with this by designing maps that fix the balance between races. So the whole discussion is just blown up in my honest opinion.

He has cool colored beard and cool shades, too.
On the hotkey-stuff: True BW lowers are SM in this regard, they want to have to press odd buttons and they want others to have to press odd buttons. If you feel differently you have no passion for this game, sorry.

I get wanting to stick to the original hotkey layout, I haven't changed anything yet and I probably wont. But then again I actually enjoy using the entire keyboard and moving my hand around. However, why should I care what other people use? Like did you refuse to play someone from Germany before because there was a chance that they could use s to build probes instead of p? You do realise that anyone you ever faced online could have easily customised their hotkeys, right? The only people who were actually forced to play with the standard English layout were pro gamers.

bw had 2 options. open custom hotkeys or standardize some legalese regarding the features of a legal keyboard. with the arrival of custom hotkeys, we've officially moved from sport to e-sport.

If we're going to use sports analogies, I think custom hotkeys would be like athletes choosing to wear them tape things (kinesio tapes) and compression sleeves or not. It:s not like they made the goal larger, the playing field smaller or lowered the basketball ring.

Exactly. The only thing that is even discussable is the question if some racial balances will be tilted in one direction by having easier hotkeys. This is highly to be doubted in my opinion, but i wouldn't count it out yet. Maybe it is easier to use some abilities now, or the infamous patrol micro. But we still haven't seen a single sign of something like this happening. So i think it's the most productive if everyone moves on and discusses actual problems (like the unfinished state of Battle.net, ladder map pool etc.). And most importantly: start promoting the game and get new blood into the foreign scene. We can rant and discuss everything all day but that's not what get's us forward.

If you are going to use sport analogies, it's like people complain about football being too hard and needs to be made easier so casuals can compete. Also it's all about strategy.

More like people complaining that football players are now allowed to choose their own footwear. Please show me one instance where the game changed and resulted in some sort of imbalanced. I also haven't seen any of the Koreans suddenly mastering the game and playing the 100% optimal mechanics. So what's your point?

i already have lots of fun, when i reach 2100, i end up playing lagging koreans 95%, i leave in the first 10 seconds of the game. this goes on until i reach around 2000, where my enemies are random C- guys and i quickly ascend to 2100 where this cycle starts again. my current cycle time is about 5 hours. best thing is getting the same lagging korean 2 times in a row.

just played a game, had to play on extra and is terrible.maybe turn rate 10 will be the best choice to please almost everyone except koreans since the creator of wlauncher already stated he is working to force a turn rate 16,the return of low latency hack is happening.

After purchasing and installing SC:R, I find no decent modern map in any of my map folders. Did Blizzard not include a bunch of modern maps into the release yet?
I realize you DL maps to the Download-Folder before you play them, e.g. the current ladder-maps, and you find some in the popular maps folder, but I guess there is no source yet to download more maps manually? What about all the good ol' stuff like HBR, EC, Colo, Sniper etc.?
