Yes. Groups in ASL and qualifiers are always handpicked. Normally they do it to ensure a balanced distribution of PTZ in all groups. No ideas how we have a 4Z group this time. Could have easily switched Bisu and a Terran in group B to group D so we can have a TTZZ and PTZZ group. Instead, you have PTTT and ZZZZ  Genuinely baffling. | ||

SoMa is strongest in this group and should take it. He is an all rounder and excells at everything except odd timing all in builds. Mini's style works well vs ssak and saber. ssak is largely standard but sometimes tries to all in on odd timings, which Mini excells against, but SoMa is sometimes weak against. Saber is standard macro centric, which Mini, Soma and Ssak are good against. Group D is a crime against humanity. They probably made this group purely because we had terran and protoss groups before, but no zerg group I am sure. Group E could actually be a big surprise in the waiting. Paralyze is super aggressive and really good against standard Terran timing attacks. Paralyze has great fight control and shuttle templar play. Both Rush and Mong could get surprise defeated by this. Mong is a downgrade Rush. Similar styles but more prone to mistakes and oversights. Jaedong is good vs Paralyze but weak vs Rush, but should edge out over Mong. Probably Rush + any of the other three. Group F appears pretty clean cut but actually is not. HerO appears like the clear best player, but both RoyaL and Barracks can pull off nasty TvZ games. BTS I am giving decent odds in ZvZ, but ZvT vs RoyaL and Barracks I am counting him out. Royal va Barracks is a 50/50 coin toss. Cant call this group yet tbh. | ||
