Anyway, the bug was discovered by someone and Xeo tested it and it turned out to be true. When you make a nydus canal, morph an exit and hotkey it and then make an overlord and then select the exit and cancel it, you have a mobile nydus canal exit, any unit sent through the canal will spawn at the drone.
i dont think its a bug that can be exploited in real game, since nydus are very rare seen and its a lot of stuff to do to spawn drones, when you have to worry more about micro/macro :p
basicly it's just a less riskier way to do a doom-drop. on the other hand you might be able to abuse the fact that opponents won't react to a drone moving towards their bases as quick as to a mass of overlords or your whole army. but that will change once the bug is known.
i mean did you really need to make a thread about it
IS THE MATTER PRESSING!
you guys do realize that sc still has a lot of already discovered bugs right
man drones always get the coolest bugs too
invincible flying make mutas more money teleporting etc. etc.
and of course they get the normal glitches associated with workers like stacking and then also they have burrow so all the burrow glitches like burrow stacking and autocloak
That's sorta really cool. Yeah it's not useful but a portable drone nydus? Imagine a marine being like wtf mate as 50 lurkers pop out a drone... sweet!
I think the bug kinda works like this: When you quickly "overwrite" a hotkey and then select it, it will give you the interface of the previous unit/building but actually you're controlling the new one. So like that, cancelling inside the interface of an overlord while you're actually doing it with the nydus exit leads to this. The fact that there's a drone coming out of it is weird though...
