FPV highlights of the korean SKT1 ex-progamer Dove (송호영) from his stream archives.
Dove is currently busy with his studies but hopefully we can see him stream some more BW in the future, even if it's just for a showmatch or something. In the meantime, enjoy this!
Same top-notch-awesome-o quality as all your videos!
Gotta say I'm impressed with the frequency you're releasing these as well. I mean I would've expected to see something new from you, but I figured I'd have to wait for at least another week :p
I play Terran because of micro(yea, it's macro game thesedays.. maybe that's why i'm D level?)!! AWESOME VIDEO between
I haven't talked to him thesedays(last time we talked was Mid May, because he hasn't been paid from his UED manager) and said he's studying. I can ask him to play bo7(5) match vs Sziky but ISL is ongoing, dunno if Sziky can play and most important thing is Korean SAT is on mid November, i shouldn't disturb him. There's only one exam in each year so he should study hard. But i think it's good to show this video to him and ask him to spare 10mins to watch this!

He said before that both games are good but he loves BW more. And as mentioned before, he stopped playing altogether to focus on his studies. ^^

Pretty much. I don't think you could have been more clear and hopefully this puts it to rest.
Dove quit SC2 for studies, I was on the same team as him (FG), and used to talk to him a bunch, was sad when he left. He might be back, or might not, I don't know yet.
That was incredible lol, how good was In_Dove during his time in SKT1? Was he super gosu or just a decent player who could make it past the first few rounds of tournaments?

Maybe he mean that a player of Dove's caliber that can do such amazings things on ladder but still can't catch a break in televised games record because the competition and skill cap is absolutly off the hook it's crazy and amazing at the same time.
Nonetheless what he was thinking off, this is why I don't want to call modern progamers bad whoever they are and their 1v1 KeSPA records. If you would judge Dove's skill after his record you would call him bad, but we all know that his skill in Starcraft Broodwar is something 99% of the people here on TL will never reach up to. This went off topic, but my point is that we all should respect these progamers even if their records aren't that good. People quickly forgets how insane the competition and skill cap is in SC:BW and some people on this forum are really quick call out players being bad and shit.

This is so true. Even with all the joking in the chat rooms while proleague/osl/msl were playing, people calling players bad and shit. a lot of these guys with way losing records are still gosu as heck.

this is true in most sports - not even of just the lower-tier players, but somebody might even say "dwayne wade played badly last night," even though a bad game by his standards would be a career game even for many people who make it to the nba. but i think many people forget with regard to starcraft, since it's an esport, that this is just a way of speaking, so it certainly bears repeating.
that said, people may still be right to say that in_dove was genuinely more talented than his televised record indicates, even given the incredibly difficulty of televised competition. i don't know enough about bw to be able to judge that from a first-person stream of games played against a wide swath of people, but he certainly impressed me

Yes don't worry I'm not retarded lol. It says so much about the level of play in BW. Microing like that isn't enough to get you far enough, there are still so many other deeper aspects of the game.
Which reminds me of the Proleague finals. In the interview Flash was asked what could he have done better in his 2 games. He said that if he didn't lose the dropship vs Fantasy he would have done better but when asked about Bisu, all he said was "Bisu played well". No "if only I had prepared vultures and mines earlier" that everyone was talking about.
To explain on that, a few days after the finals someone posted about how Bisu had two citadels and let Flash kill one while researching speed with the other, which was a waaaay better explaination than Flash "being careless" or "caught off guard"
