T - 2-3 rax Marine/Medic/Firebat rush Z - 4-pool rush (not very often) Z - 3 hatch hydra/lurker P - 4-gate zealot (not even +1 speedzeal, just straight) P - DT rush (only sends 1, not very often) P - 12 Nexus (rarely) Anyway, against the AI, you'll get some speed and mechanics - use it especially to work on micro. Sooner or later, find a human opponent (someone else can tell you about that - the good news is I can play by LAN at least)

The AI only does 6 openings total for all three races, which are: T - 2-3 rax Marine/Medic/Firebat rush Z - 4-pool rush (not very often) Z - 3 hatch hyrda/lurker P - 4-gate zealot (not even +1 speedzeal, just straight) P - DT rush (only sends 1, not very often) P - 12 Nexus (rarely) Anyway, against the AI, you'll get some speed and mechanics - use it especially to work on micro. I've seen some crazy advanced stuff, way ahead of 1998 metagame. Actually I freaked out when I saw AI do FFE after I started doing it on iccup, i thought it was learning my builds or something.

All the same, it has some disadvantages. The AI: 1 - never scouts 2 - never adjusts BO to account for you 3 - attacks predictably, with no micro (If you survive the first eight minutes and have a decent economy, you will wail on the poor machine every time) 4 - never walls in 5 - never suspects traps (one that I've done, it's cheese but I like it: send 7 probe to scout and build a pylon just outside your natural. 8 probe build forge and 2 photon cannons. When scout finds opponent, attack a worker. The rest of the workers will bullrush, so send the scout back toward your natural, and the cannons will come up just in time to take them.) A human would never fall for this kind of junk. So as before, sooner or later you hit a ceiling against the machine. Play humans any time you can...

Terran: if you like to work harder than your opponent to achieve the same result, play T. Expect to lose to lesser players, specially P. Best mirror match-up IMO. Best music and unit sounds too. Protoss: easier to play mechanically, boring music and unit sounds. Zerg: reasonable challenge, race-design-wise so different it's almost like playing a different game. Cool game though, best of luck to you. I suggest you join sGs since there's a lot of noobs and also some good players that are willing to help with practice and such.

Sometimes I want to punch my screen while playing TvP. I set up a decent mine field only to have lamelots..errr speedlots mine drag right onto my tanks.

If you played ZvT, then you will see Zerg has to work harder. Delaying the enemy push with mutas only, secure and defend the third successfully, holding of marine drops in all bases while at the same time coping with marine squads which dodge swarm. I'm gonna play terran. :D I've decided, I destroyed Protoss AI, with mass vulture, quick spider mines with siege tanks as well. :D I'm not gonna say Im good but i need to improve a lot! >,< any terrans that can help me? Man this is like me playing sc2 from the start (BW is my second RTS and SC2 is my second) Do you use Vulture Patrol Micro? It's great fun.

While its true that muta micro, burrowing shit and defending drops is hard, it's also hard to do multi-drops, keep ur marines together so they dont get sniped by mutas while at the same time walking towards zerg base/3rd, and stimming/falling back when lurkers come. When DS comes into play, it's even more micro intensive for both sides. Also having medics near marines and protecting Science Vessels, defending from ling run-bys and shit...
