As some of you may have noticed, there is a new Nation Wars starting soon. Players are divided according to different regions and our region is Asia and Oceania.
So… what we need are players. That means YOU. It doesn’t matter if you think you are not good enough, as long as you know how to play BW you’re welcome to join or help out.
Which countries are included?
All of Asia/Oceania except Korea and Russia, this includes:
Australia, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Phillipines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. If your country isn’t listed there but you are sure it’s in Asia or Oceania, I might’ve forgotten it so go ahead and apply.
How to apply?
Just post this (or PM me) in the following manner to show your interest:

The team size is 15 players + 2 managers so there's plenty of spots. If there ends up being more than 15 players, the rest of the people can still help out with practice or organising things.
If you're not interested in playing but know someone who is, please go spread the word. See someone on the forums living in these countries? Go PM them. Thank you. 
What will be required of you?
- Be respectful and mannered.
- A few hours every Saturday 23:00 KST or Sunday 09:00 KST to play in Nation Wars. This will start November 5th.
- A couple of hours every week to take part in training sessions.
- Willingness to improve outside of the training sessions.
What else do you have to do?
- Get either minilauncher or wlauncher or chaoslauncher(not advised). Use xsebt's guide here and click on the spoiler "How to play on Fish".
- Make a new account on fish with your username, followed by [AP]. (e.g. fold[AP])

I've added everyone to the list and now that it's been made clear people from all of Asia(except Korea) are also considered to be in this region, there should be even more players.
The first practice session will be this Sunday (9/10) at 1300KST on Fish at op SEA.
What we'll do:
- Make sure everyone has no problems using minilauncher/wlauncher to play on Fish.
- Play a few games 1v1 and 2v2 to see what everyone's skill level is like.
- Assign practice partners.
- Exchange contact details.

Yes op SEA on fish. Playing on fish because the actual event will be held there.
What time is convenient for everyone? Don't want to schedule it too late so that people won't be dead on Monday to whatever they have to go to.
Right now it's just set at 1300KST since that's usual proleague time. Can change it to 1800KST if people want?

The thing is, lag is omnipresent in China. I was really pissed when they banned Chinese players for TSL-2, but in the end, I have to admit that the lag is there and really annoying

There isn't an actual schedule out yet but Eywa did say it starts November 5th. I can understand Chinese, albeit not very well, so I can help answer some of the questions if you need it. If you can find someone on TL to do that, it would be great. I'm not familiar with many people on TL so any help is good.
As for the lag, I've experienced it as well playing Chinese players but I'm also from laggy Australia so we'll just try it and see how that goes.

We're playing on fish w/ latency changer, so it might be better than iccup.

The line up can always be updated, so I would suggest you make your post on their forums and then update here with info whenever someone is wanting to join the team. - though you guys already do have quite a large team.. Some are bound to be unreliable/replaceable.

Eywa also says our match timings can be changed to 15CET (2200KST) and 1CET (0800KST) which is much more reasonable. This means that we'll have to split the players so games can be played at the two different times.

That's just the timings he's given us. The whole thing starts on November 5th but our matches might not be scheduled on that date as in it hasn't been announced who will be playing who and when they are. I'll let you know when he does that.
I'll also install QQ and tell you how that goes.

It's not an either/or, its a you have those two play times. Which gets used will depend on which team you are playing.

Hey, sorry everyone. In the PM I sent, I was assigning players to maps. Turns out that you will play that map then play on different maps in the map pool as a bo3. Not a bo3 with the same map.
The players who were assigned maps are still being sent out so make sure you practice the other maps as well. Same thing goes with the 2v2 players. You'll have to practice the other maps as well...though it's obviously not going to be on bluestorm or neo bloody ridge or matchpoint for 2v2. :p
Also, are any of the assigned players on right now? One of the USA team members needs to play by today. So it'd be great if you could PM me and log on to iccup to get ready.
