Due to the current state, kinda shy to post it here... Currently I've a working but very simple game engine, have team leagues, and I'm planning to work on player transfers, individual leagues too maybe? But I'm not too sure about the details, so I require help.

But I think if I put it here, it'll discourage many... And it's still work in progress by the way, I'm trying to get people by invitation instead because it involves manually creating an account for you.

What factors are there in a programming team's finance? Sponsor income, wages and what?

I think Progamer teams are like any sports team in terms of structure, so for finance we are talking sponsors, player and coach salaries, maybe equipment, and in this case housing (the apartment where they sleep) and the practice house too. Maybe the environment and equipment can influence the mood of the team.


So... I guess you need players, a head coach and maybe 1 or more secondary coaches. Having 3 race specific coaches could be an option, or maybe the coaches can have different knowledge skills in the different races.

In terms of the balance issue: P > T > Z > P, I would personally like to have it in the game (maybe it could be map related), because otherwise it could be too hard to snipe players. But maybe the imbalance can be decreased a bit and some players should definately be naturally better at the lesser race matchup.

Well you could just have more players have a better P:T matchup than a P: Z matchup.

And every season, there's a modifier representing the race the maps are leaning towards.

Mystarcraft... If anything it would be more useful to have some programmers working on the english version of it and upgrading it and the such. Still wish you luck with your version.

I'm looking at post count... then I see pm only then I see "requires you make a new account" and then I see invite only as well....

This is how it looks to my mind:

step 1) Make people think this is a game, nope nothing bad at all
2) make people think that you are shy and the reason you have no actual proof of this game is because you are afraid to post it here.
3) Make people think they have to PM you to get game.
4) Make people think they have to create an account to get in the "game"
5) steal people's info.

Thats how I see it at least = /. Note that I am a bit paranoid so take this with a grain of salt, just my 2 cents.
