i don't think that sounds like a good idea.
although i did make a micro map once where there was a row of beacons, one for each race, and i think a column of 4 (early, mid, mid-late, and very late game iirc). to start the person would choose two races (defending and attacking) and the stage of the game. if they chose zerg and protoss - early, the zerg would have to fend off a zealot rush at 6:00 (they'd start with 2 hatches and idle larva/drones, but the zealots would be visioned leaving 3:00's ramp.
I don't remember where i put the map though, I spent all summer making it

For ex. you start out regularly with 4 workers and base. You have to mine and build up. 3 minutes into the game you get 6 ling rushed. 4 minutes 8 zealots come. 5 minutes goons. 6 minutes tank push, 6:30 mins lurker drop, 7 mins reaver drops, 8 mins mass hydras, and so on etc., all the way to the highest techs like carriers / bcs / arbs.
This will really keep you on your feet. Will get you better macro and micro, and teaches you how to deal with different kinds of attacks.
There should be a limited amount of resources, and expansions in which you can attempt to take whenever you feel you have enough troops to defend before you run out of minerals.
I know this sounds like art of survival but all the survival games I've played suck and doesn't teach you how to deal with real-game situations.
Try playing the game -.-
Serioulsy how would u do all those things ? you would have to change from tvt to tvz to tvp all ove again multiple times.

What do you mean how would you deal with all those things? As long as you have units and some static defense you can deal with anything. There isn't much difference. That's like saying in a 3v3 with your opponents being t, z, and p that you have to change from tvt to tvz to tvp all over again multiple times and it's not possible. It's all about how you use your units.
I have actually played a map like that, very very long ago. You would play with 3 partners in the middle of the map and the attacks would come from all sides. The attacks were random, for ex. at 4 minutes you could get muta harassed, reaver dropped, tank pushed, or hydra attacked, etc., which were randomnly selected by the game. And your partners would face the same situations. This would go on to last 60 minutes, where at the end your minerals will run out and you face the last wave. Too bad I do not have that map anymore for years now, as I really wish I had kept it.
It would be better & much more fun if you can work with partners instead of playing this by yourself for the whole time.

Fuck Stimy, why the fuck do have to make that fucken game so fucken impossible. I spent the last fucking hour trying to beat it and i cant fucken get past that fucken level with 3 goons vrs 2 goons and 2 zlots. i won O_O the 2 goon 2 zealot one is annoying and the 2 marine 5 scv 1 is annoying all the others a pretty ez tho
|
how to beat the 5scv/2marine vs lings thing? i tried it one time for now...
|
it took A LOT of my nerves, but i won the game. Thank for that GREAT feeling Stimey
|
Because I don't play terran, for the 5 scv / 2 marine thingie I just make an arc of scvs, place the 2 marines behind it and put them all on hold... you only need to move an scv or two away when it is being hit, this way you're usually left with a marine and 1-2 scv beating the last ling

:-) glad you guys like it. i think it could be improved somewhat
-the scv/rine/ling level is crap imo (??) -needs a couple more levels sorta
anyways i'm making a harder version right now but still tweaking it maybe

yeah it needs more levels, keep the scv/rine/ling level in, it's not hard if you just have one scv in front and don't let it die. just a few split seconds of lings delaying is enough to win that stage. it's hard but it's not so hard that it's worth taking out.
|
it's not the difficulty that bothers me about it, it's just the way you basically hope they chase you to beat it :/
