Lately there have been speculations about Nada's absence at ProLeague. Why is he now showing up to the bench?
It is revealed that Nada is resting at home after undergoing an eye surgery.
He suffered from a condition where he cannot raise his upper eyelids on his own. The surgery was planned to take place after the season ends, but the condition got worsened and it took place on the 14th.
"The speculations came about when the unexpected surgery prevented him from showing up. He will come back healthy soon," WeMade said.
It is thought that at the earliest he will show up to the stadium for the match against CJ Entus on the 31th after taking a sufficient rest.

The korean military is very hard to avoid if your a korean living in korea. only the blind, lame, mute, hard in hearing, extremely sick, mentally retarted or extremely short are exempt. A surgery like this that you can heal from? Definately not,.

With Nadas star power and the availability of ACE, the only way Nada will disappear from progaming is if BW completely vanishes or he doesnt want to play it anymore. And no, this wont stop him from serving in the military.

Nal_Ra has really really bad eyesight, bad enough to exempt him from military service. My dad was able to dodge the military with the same thing, since he had atleast -10 eyesight, same with me hahaha.
Damn, unable to raise eyelid by own will... that's pretty scary. Hope everything goes fine, and looking forward to seeing the resurgence of NaDa in the starcraft scene soon!

Well it really depends
Nal_rA earned his exemption from the Army long ago and if Nada earned his exemption before yeah he could get one... But the laws changed so much
My friend has a very bad spine condition but he still had to go to the army (although they did cut him alot of slack)
As far as I know these are the things that CURRENTLY let you skip out on army: You have undergone a HUGEEE surgery (heart condition or w/e) You have mental issues You have a criminal record You are the #1 smartest college student in Korea Incurable physical injuries etc
They let you by long ago if you had bad feet, a phD or terrible eyesight They removed those now

I'm going to have military service in Korea in the future
You can get out of active military service for eyesight and some bullshit medical conditions (if you have connections), but you still have to serve the country in some capacity. Basically you're a non-paid civil servant for two years. Some people work at the office for the local bureaucracy; my friend is a firefighter/general laborer in some backwater forest preserve.

Yeah I'm not sure anyone actually thinks that's gonna happen. I mean it would be fun if he would own up SC2, but it doesn't seem likely. I think he will eventually end up a pro team coach, because I can't see him as a commentator for some reason. He has more to give

Where's the love people, or all you all new schoolers who jumped on the train 1-2 years ago?
LOL, he did and it had like 50 more pages than this thread
If you know anything about SC at all past a few years, you know NaDa is the best player of all time, for so many different reasons.
He also gets paid twice as much as Jaedong does for having to play 1/10ths as much, so lol there.
