As the title says, my mom is such a bitch. When will she ever shut the fuck up about SAT's and school? I don't even have shit to do anymore since I'm a senior. Yet she's bitching? I have to re-take the SAT's but that shit's gonna be easy...all my other classes are a joke too, except AP Bio. Nonetheless I wanted to play ONE game of fucking starcraft seeing that my saturday is loaded with marching band and volunteering. She sees me and starts bitching. Is playing one game that bad? It wasn't like I was playing for two or three hours...people like my mom should die. They don't know shit.
First, she tells me to do well on the SAT, and go to a good college. I can do that, but can she? Must she constantly bitch? I could ask her, "Where did you go? If you took the SAT's now, you'd do so badly." And why can't I even play games now? I'm a senior, and as I said, I havent' really played excessively. I control myself and make things like my homework, college apps, and essays my My priority. Yet she constantly complains about me “ALWAYS” playing games. I guess that parents, especially my parents, will never understand. My dad, on the other hand, isn’t as bad. He understands everything. Too bad he’s in a business trip in Korea. Thus my mom has complete control right now and doesn’t let me do SHIT. This is frustrating, especially the fact that I can’t do shit on a Saturday and Sunday. The reason I am pissed is I can’t play even that one game I’ve been waiting to play forever. My mom is just there to ruin things. I can’t wait until I get my SAT score back again for October, get into a good college, and rub it in her face. My dad is usually supportive, telling me to try my best on my SAT. However, my mom tells me to do well or else it’s the “end of the world” and I will “not get into college.” I don’t get why she keeps telling me…I can break 2100 like it’s my job and yet I have to retake it. ^^ Life is such a bitch. When they say parents are supposed to help their kids grow and learn things, I have learned one thing: never to be like my mother.

Nice rant. Your mother seems normal for most parents anyways, alot of people are, have been or could be in this situation. I would say a bunch of stuff, but it wouldn't matter. We all figure life out in different ways.

Your mom is normal, and it's extremely stupid to say OH YEA U COULDNT DO WELL ON THE SAT because it's not a competition between you and her, and how well she'd do is totally irrelevant. She just wants you to go to a good school. If you "rub it in her face" assuming you DO get into a good school, then you're the bitch, not her.

Copy your rant over into Word, edit out all references to 'bitch' etc, then show her this.
Keep in mind, if you are successful you can't really 'rub it in her face' since she wants you to do well.

I think you should chill about saying your mom deserves to die. Think about it, you honestly want to end the life of someone who cared with you over one StarCraft game? Come on now. I wouldn't want to kill anyone, especially over a StarCraft game, especially my mom. No matter how bitchy my mom is as well. She just wants the best for you, and though it may bother you, I think you should remember that when you get angry and frustrated.

Anyways, I used to get pretty pissed when I wasn't allowed to play BW, but nowadays it's just turned into "meh" status because seriously, your parents want what's best for you (damn it I almost typed marines instead of parents for some reason) and I guess it's only a matter of time before you realize that.

Reminds me of this kid I'm helping with his training and such. He was planning to get a bunch of training hours this weekend since it was free from competitions. But then today or yesterday he said "i dont think I'll be able to train that much this weekend". I asked if he was injured, ill or felt tired or something like that. He said "no my mom think I'm training too much lately".
So there you have a mother who at this day and age when kids are obese left and right dont want her child to be outside doing sports.
Oh and he trains less than 7h/week and school results are not behind her motive.

Everyone understands your point of view. I'm going through the same right now - others have been though it in the past.
But you also have to realize that soon you will be out of her control and reach forever, and this is really the last time where she has any say in your life. It must be a scary moment for any parent. She just wants to set you off on your own (more or less) with the best possible start. 2100 on your SAT is good, but don't you think you could do better? That's probably what she is thinking right now. SC has no future for most of us, and she takes that into account; studying on the other hand does, and she takes that into account as well. It's not surprising what she chose.
Sure she over reacted, and it's good that you accept that you over reacted as well n_n.

but you know, depends on your heritage, i mean. im chinese and i still live with my parents(expensive living here if i do live on my own, maybe if i find 2-3 roommates). youre lucky to have a father that basically cares enough but doesnt care to the extent that your mom is affecting most of your private/social life. when one of my parents bitches at me, the other usually does. theres no remorse. and being a single child even sucks more because they have no one else to blame but their product. most times when my father comes home from work, frustrated, guess who he takes the bullshit out on? me. youre lucky to have a 50/50, i have 99/1, and all on me.

All of you don't realize how lucky you are to have parents that even give a shit. Growing up, I had a dad who got drunk every night. Came home at 2 A.M. My mom and him would fight, then he'd go to work at 8 A.M, and I wouldn't see him until 2 A.M again. My dad never cared.
My mothers a whole other piece of work too. Growing up I never had anyone that would tell me I could do anything I wanted to do. Never.
Unfortunately my words I'm typing are probably falling on blind eyes right now. Just consider yourself lucky.

What he says is true also.
My parents USED to care as much as vstar's but now they are more or less apathetic to my existence. It's like they are dead to me. I'd rather have less SC and more family than more SC and no family at all, even though day to day it doesn't seem that way. Caring and arguments just show that they love you.
I'm not trying to say that that is as bad as an alcoholic parent, just giving my own experience.
PS: We're Russian, everyone is an alcoholic @_@.
