There's probably a large market of people like that who can't or don't want to attend a traditional college. So yeah, you might just be right.

i think id join that, simply because it dosnt get much more down to earth than that.

At least they aren't advertising with "le may-mays" like many other institutions are...

I choose cry.
They're like typical educators who try to be cool, but end up using hopelessly outdated terms and try to combine these terms with academia-speak, which just makes it that much more painful. Not only do you have to toil through their classes as usual, but also have to drudge through a gaggle of unfunny jokes.

We regret to inform you that your grades are unsatisfactory and we have no choice but to expel you from our institution. If you wish to petition this decision, go here. And then you get to figure out whether the joke is you getting kicked out or having the opportunity to petition it :D

This stuff always just made me sad when I was a senior in HS. Basically I just threw this shout. Coincidentally the schools that were worth applying to didn't have to sink to that kind of pandering to get my attention. Apply to places whose academic record speaks for itself.

As a senior about to graduate, we think
::facepalm::
But yeah, that G33KOSYSTEM sounds really sketchy. You don't need to call ideal educational conditions by anything else, let alone some mass caps/ numbers 1337-label.

Yes but the phrasing implies that the person who writes the email is a senior about to graduate, and then the next sentence doesn't make any sense.
We understand what he means but it's still sloppy phrasing.

I've got mail from good schools as well as the shitty ones. I think the good schools use some sort of system where they buy a list of mailing info from collegeboard/ACT of people who score over a certain threshold and then just use that.
