This is a support group designed to assist victims of the recent Blizzcon, GSL and MLG tragedies. For many, these events were simply too much to compute. Seeing Nestea, the Father of Kerrigan, collapse so absolutely, was unfathomable to those caught watching. Some fans even confabulated stories of match fixing to try to make sense of the horror.
Nestea had stayed strong through the increasingly Terran-dominated GSL, with only the best Terran (MVP) seeming to be clearly ahead of him. So how could this happen?
Or this?
Or THIS?!
There didn't seem to be any answers. Or any hope. If the greatest Zerg in the world can lose like this, then what faith can the rest of us have in our own abilities? The next ladder game could be the one where I go crazy and suicide 30 brood lords.
But thankfully, there is hope. The NesTea Fan Support Group is here to help you make sense of the tragedy, and overcome the serious trauma. And you are not alone. Victims of Nestea maltreatment are thought to number in the tens of thousands. Hear the stories of others who have made it out of the darkness to find the light in life once again.
Survivor Stories
"For the last 12 months, Nestea had been my world. He was so caring, so intelligent. And he never let me down on finals night. But then at Blizzcon, I saw a different side to him. It was like he was a different person. Sure, there was that one time something happened against GoOdy, but I had considered that a one-off. After Blizzcon, I forgave him and tried to forget about it, but it wasn't long before he was abusing me again. I couldn't cope. Leenock was such a great support to me, but he was just wasn't Nestea. I went off the rails. For thrills, I started watching players like CrazyMoving. Thankfully, I found this support group just in time."

"When Nestea turned on me, I just felt so lost, I didn't know what to do. Everytime I tried to make a Broodlord, the memories came flooding back. At night, I would hear Ghosts sniping and wake up in a cold sweat. For a while I even switched to Terran. I'm not proud of it. But I needed to feel like I had control. I shudder to think what might have happened had I not found this support group. But now things are looking up in my life again. Sure, Tier 3 is still too much for me, but one day at a time I'm healing."
There is Hope
So don't give up. Come share your pain with others who have experienced the same loss. And if you know somebody who has suffered at the hands of Nestea but is too frightened to come forward, send them here. They will thank you for it. Together, we can make it. There is hope.

Yet again
Pro-poster as always! poor Nestea, that was some fall from grace. He will return!
|
Blizzard Cup will be my last hope, or else I will join this support group.
|
|
Did you post this in the Nestea fan club?
|
|
Nestea is delicious. 5/5 Kerrigan be sad.
|
This support group is going to be redundant with Alcoholics Anonymous once Naniwa destroys Nestea in the Blizzard Cup LOLOLOLOLOL
Either that or the loss will send Artosis into a coma.
|
lol I found this so funny for some reason. Good write up, I hope he does well in his group for blizz cup
|
I'll always be a fan of him because almost everything I know about Zerg I have learned from him, because he reminds me so much of a certain other progamer whom I used to idolize, and finally because he is mother fucking NesTea.

I legitimately feel bad for anyone that became a fan of nestea because of Artosis and did not know the skeletons he had in his BW closet, he's just being zerg bong without Reach to drag down with him.

I wish he was still called ZergBong. Nestea is a crappy name.
Also he beat Naniwa, nuff sed.
;P

I can't speak for others, but my appreciation for Nestea is due simply to the fact that he plays Zerg far better than anyone else in the world (even taking his recent form into account). Artosis' hype is amusing, but kind of irrelevant. As is his BW career.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I have tremendous respect for Artosis, he's a pillar of the community and a great commentator. I enjoy his hype, and its partly what makes the GSL such a great experience. All I am saying is that my carnal love of Nestea is not contingent on Artosis' hilariously hyperbolic descriptions of Nestea's intelligence.

Nestea was way ahead of the metagame and this was his edge.
Unfortunately for him, he revealed a lot of strategies to win his GSLs and his peers caught up to him and figured them out. Now it's up to players with great strategies and great execution as well.
I think it's hard for Nestea to compete with young guys like Leenock or DRG on a mechanical level. So although he's still great strategically, SC2 progamers are becoming good enough that you need to be excellent mechanically as well.
MVP knows how to counter Nestea's strategies. MMA can out-multitask him. Leenock can outmicro him. etc etc.
The final thing is motivation. After you've won 3 GSLs, you can get complacent. When your competition is young kids who practice hardcore with the immense desire to win a championship and make a name for themselves, it's hard to beat them all. Especially when you have too much footage out there to be analyzed.

Interesting, thanks for the post

He needs to change his name back to ZergBong.
