I was bored the other night and thought: "What the hell, I know a bit about the game, I could stream and commentate a few games!"
So I volunteered to cast a few games in the Dailywalker platinum and under tournament hosted on Z33k.com. It was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but extremely tiring and it takes a long time! I did a total of maybe 6 or 7 rounds in the last two nights and spent 4 or 5 hours. Observing and commentating is a fine art form, that I have NO natural talent for whatsoever.
I had under 20 viewers and felt a bit of pressure, imagine 40,000 viewers!
I cannot even begin to fathom what our casting heroes go through on a daily basis casting top level games ALL DAY LONG week after week in every time zone on earth.
Kudos to EVERY caster alive for what you do, it takes a special person to bring their A game everyday and bring us that e-Sport fix that we all love! I'm not just talking about the big name MLG/GSL/NASL casters......I'm talking to the hundreds of people that volunteer your time knowledge and vocal chords to the cause. Thanks to all of you!
I don't think that I'll ever be capable of having a negative thought about an SC2 caster as long as I live.
