There are way too many of these.
Here's the problem. Having the social skills and experience to deal with girls is a life-long skill. It's like math. You start at basic algebra, go on to geometry and trig, then calculus. You don't jump into calculus right away because you're gonna fail.
The same applies with girls. Many of you have gone too long w/o the algebra, geometry, and trig skills, and today suddenly you find a girl you like and want to jump in and do calculus with. Likelihood of success? Not very likely. Sorry buddy.
So I guess the main point of this is to be an awareness campaign.
For your everyday life, go out there, get experience, gain the necessary skills. This way, you're not put into situations where you're desperately asking people on the internet for advice to get the girl of your dreams (hint: she's probably not the one either).
Start with the "girls not of my dream" and gain some experience and skills regularly. And maybe once you meet someone who's really worth it, you'll have the ability to make things happen. Or just be really rich.

When i need help with math i ask TL so i guess it's the same thing, some people have more experience than others, it's no harm asking for help. It's not like some other personal blog, it's a blog on a gaming forum so the likelihood of staying anonymous is generally higher than if you posted it on your personal blog that your friends follow. Unless you met her playing starcraft...

If two people really connect, you can solve quantum physics problems with basic addition, imo.

I think it's healthy for guys and girls to ask their comrades for relationship advice, because they'll either get great advice or only listen to they advice they know is what they really believe, anyway. Most bad advice is ignored or laughed off.

The only issue with talking women is the same issue people have with facing critical social issues with someone: confrontation or the repercussions that come with it.
In most cases, people fear the worst because they can't imagine the realistic or probable.

Screw that OP. You only live once, go for everything and everyone with all the passion you can muster. The fastest way to get used to the water is to jump right in.
Enjoy your time and overactive hormones while you have them. You'll probably miss them when they're gone, and life is about following routines and going to work instead of infatuation with girls you barely even know.

do girl blogs ever really resolve/progress anyway? I remember one blog where it was 99% obvious that the girl had interests in the TLer dude and he couldn't gather his balls to ask her out for at least a week or something.

I think that girl blogs attract so much attention because, sadly, they talk about something that many don't really share in this community. It's not that much about the advice.
Having a thread where people post pics of their girlfriend is quite significant and it's something I had never seen in the past.
I know my girlfriend would be pretty mad if I showed her face around.

Edit to avoid misunderstandings: my point is not only that many like girl blogs because it's an exciting world for them, but there is also a big portion of awkward and clueless questions. Not long I saw a thread where a guy declared having been used 11 times in the past by girls who friendzoned him... so some go because they like it, others because it's just fun to read.

Relationships attract a lot of interest. Why else do you think so many dating shows exist? Plus, others use it as an opportunity to live vicariously through someone else's exploits.
Still, you make a good point. You can get all the practical advice you want, but there's no substitute for practical experience!
I think this blog would have been a lot better if, instead of math, it was about starcraft. Instead of algebra, think bronze league and working your way up. Even if you place in platinum it's still a long way from grandmasters
