Another day, another accomplishment

Well here comes the first actual blog post. Just recently we gained our 100th member to clan eP. In lew of this special event we decided to have a meeting of higher officers in the clan to develop short and long term goals to strive for.

Our meeting turned out quite successful and productive. We all developed a clear-cut joint idea on where we stand and what is in the future for us. We got a lot of new ideas and opinions on things like how to better organize our Game Nights and Tournaments so they run a lot more smoother and are able to accomidate everyone who wants to participate.

With the increased number of members our vent server needed an overhaul because we were almost capping our user limit on a daily basis! We decided to increase our user cap by 10 members initally and go from there to make sure we aren't stuck with paying for utilized resources. This suggestion was agreed on unanimously by our meeting members almost immediately with little to no discussion.

Aside from that we decided our front page of the website had to be cleaned up to make less overwhelming and confusing to our members. This was made obvious by members giving feedback while I was on starcraft and really needed to be dealt with.

I'll elaborate more but I'm typing on a Zune and my hands are starting to hurt. >.>

Anyways it's http://www.clanep.org which seems a typical team website. A vbulletin website it seems. So it's not free if Google is right :p

Anyways what kind of skill is this clan? Or are you a beginners clan. 100 members is quite big and sounds like some sort of WoW guild (no flaming intended). Do you guys play in some noteworthy leagues or past accomplishments of both individuals or teams?

When you read this hopefully this all is answered :p

@OutlaW- http://www.clanep.org , Maybe I should start appending it to the bottom of my posts to make it more noticeable, but at the same time I'm not really trying to use this blog as a plug, but more explaining the ups and downs of my clan administrations. I don't really want to become "THAT GUY" that is always constantly plugging himself just to get more hits on his website. I just want to be "this guy" who likes to share his experiences with the community and would like some outside input.

@shannn We have players of all skill levels actually, to give you some sort of idea here's an INCOMPLETE list of members and rankings on sc2divisions: http://sc2divisions.com/custom/clan-ep/93 . I haven't updated it in a while since I've been working on other things, but our distribution is pretty wide.

As far as leagues are concerned I was going to get into that before I ended the entry and my thumbs started to burn up XD. But in the meeting we also brought up the idea of making a team or "All-Star" squad if you will to start competing in clan wars with and competitive leagues. We all agreed that this would be a good idea but spent quite a bit of time on how to develop the team out of the members we have in a fair and just manner. I could go into more detail if you'd like on what weighted criteria we decided upon but to not make this post any more long-winded I'll negate the specifics. As far as individual efforts we have quite a few members who participate in the weekly SPGL (Semi-Pro Gaming League) SC2 1v1 tournaments on a pretty much constant basis and also have a member or two who participates in ESL.

Also, thanks for the wishes! We're trying our best to improve and create the best environment possible.
