I just finished HS few days ago, I didn't even apply to any college yet. But to even apply to one I must have some idea on what I am going to do, right?

I then learned that engineers need way more school so I chose computer programming. Then in college I took a networking class and found out it takes both my loves and smushes them together. So now I'm a systems administrator for a 250 employee company. I get to design new ideas and network layouts and I also get to do some minor programming and problem solving. So take what you love, even if it is a long shot and go for that first in college. You can always switch your major down the road if you find something better! Your first year in college is just going to take all the crappy courses anyway like english 101 ![]()

Well I really like physics but I can't stand the idea of working the whole life with the theory so I thought of something where physics is applied like engineering. But the problem is that I am not so sure about it either. Not to mention that at..umm what's called that big exam you do at the end of hishschool..I didn't do so well neither in Physics nor in Math.

What I suggest you do is go out, and go to workplaces of the type of job you think you would like doing. Take a look at what the people do, the best thing is if you can somehow get to talk to and employee about what the does.. Is it interesting for you, do you like it. The key here is being proactive; taking the initiative, going out and searching instead of just thinking. Who knows, you might find something you really like. (Think of it as gathering information. The more data you collect and can process, the more you take into account, the better your analysis will be.) Also, in terms of college, I think that what you study and where you study it are both quite important. My advice is: find something you like and make a very clear plan of just exactly what you are going to do to get to that career. Then follow your plan exactly, and whenever you feel discouraged/lost/don't know what you're doing/why you're doing it, look at your list and remind yourself "I want to do this, and to do that first I must do this, this and this."
