both is not an acceptable answer, people, unless you actually time yourself to evenly face each way, or spin constantly in the shower like a figure skater.
it says most of the time. an alternative wording might be which way do you have a larger preference for.
I face away most of the time because I dislike water spray in my face when it hits my chest and I hate the way it streams off my facial hair, so I only turn to face the showerhead to get wet initially and rinse off after lathering up.
face to faucet, though im usually at one point or another, lieing down asleep. Showers are like saunas to me or something, just a really relaxing [hot and steamy, cause I crank up the heat] place to take a nap and chill, after im done my business that is.

Very true, though during those days when I'm really tired and I don't want to move, I prefer back to faucet in order to kinda sleep standing in the nice warm water.

Right: quick explanation to the folks who live in the southern hemisphere. We in the northern hemisphere take showers with the water coming down on us from a pipe. This then goes down a hole. The pipe is called a faucet while the hole is called a drain. Presumably, you just let the water come out of the drain and let it go up into the sky.

How do you guys manage to wash your back?
I don't very often... my gf used to wash it when we had sexy showers... but we broke up and since then I guess I just assume it gets sorta cleaned by drying it off with a towel/soapy water running down it. How do other guys do it?
back to faucet, and on reallllly hot. I stand there in ecstasy for about 30 minutes and then as my hot water starts to disappear I use the remaining 2 to 3 minutes to scrub myself clean.

While I don't get the 30 minutes of ecstasy, I do pretty much the same thing.

I take the bar of soap and use it to reach a little bit further and scrub from 3 different angles. And for one angle I put soap on the outside of my fingers and get the hard middle part. Kinda hard to describe so here:
BoT, I shower mostly facing the water. The only time I turn my back to it is when I'm rinsing my back side (obv) and when I am soaping up the front side (obv).
And as far as water coming from above. No. If you're tall like me you are always ducking down to wash face/hair. Faucets generally don't point higher than nipple level either.
I'd say like 75% back to faucet. I've actually got a bit of a science, with the water hitting my neck. The only time I'm really facing the faucet is to wash my face or rinse off my front. Most of the reason I would rotate is to keep both sides of my body an even temperature because I take a pretty hot shower. It's always been that way.
This seems like something that popped up in Seinfeld.
Start with back to the faucet (it just feels better!), then rotate as necessary to wash "various parts" of the body - I mean, I just like feeling the powerful stream of water hitting my (insert your imagination). Ugh, yeah.

Same for me but the other way around. I never thought people faced away most of their shower!

this is a serious issue.. my back used to be so clean when i had a gf but now i'm concerned that i keep missing spots. there's no good substitute for getting it scrubbed by someone else, really
