Windows Startup Repair

Hello TL, I havent been posting in a long time, but I come to this smart and generous community to help me with my problems of running my computer.

I have no idea what happened, but when I now start up my computer, it instantly goes to the Startup Repair, searching for the problems that it won't boot up right.

Once it finishes scanning, it tells me that it doesn't know the solution to it and to contact my manufacturer.

I just restart, and it would loop back to the Startup Repair, giving me no possible solutions.

Q6600 2.4GHz
Nvidia 9600GT
320GB HD

Any help would be great, especially from the wizard.

I want to go back to my computer..

If its any hints or helps, before I had this problem I was messing with a camera and uploading some videos and pictures.

Is you camera still plugged into the computer? The computer might be identifying it as an external hard drive, and with my old computer, I wasn't able to boot if a flash drive or external hard drive was plugged in.

haha I guess since it was a personal problem I would be posting in blogs, but I see ur point of being a technical support issue. Thanks anyways.

search for problems So this is vista or windows 7?
Did you try rolling it back before you had problems with it, using system restore which is one of those recovery options.

I got the same problem after my computer shut down because of a power outage in the area while doing windows updates and the registry probably got messed up. I had to reinstall windows.

If you can't system restore you should consider restoring the registry with something like this(might be outdated but should be similar) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545

Once you get into startup repair, hit cancel right away and click on 'advanced options' or something like that. From there, you'll have the option to open up command prompt.
Type : "bootrec.exe /fixboot"
"bootrec.exe /fixmbr"
"bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd" Without the quotes. (It should find your OS and ask if you want to add it to the boot list... hit Y for yes.

If that doesn't fix it, do the same steps but use the system restore feature instead of the command prompt.
