Note: This is not publicly available yet. I've attempted to get in touch with TL management to ensure it's cool with them before proceeding any further, but I'm still waiting to hear back. I've posted this in the general forum as it applies to both Broodwar and SC2.
Updated OP 17th June
Over the last month or so I've been casually working on an iPhone app, and although it is not available publicly yet, I thought I'd share some screenshots to see what people think, hopefully get some feedback, and to see if it is actually useful to the TL community (which is who I'm basically aiming this app at).
The basic idea is just an easy, fast way to see when BW and SC2 events are coming up via TL's event calendar data in relation to local time, as well as to be able to set convenient reminders on your phone via Calendar straight from the event view in order to not miss those events you're particularly interested in.
Here are some screenshots from the most recent build (17th June):
Screenshots Icon in springboard (because every iPhone app needs a pretty icon)
Today view
Tomorrow view
Monthly view
Detailed event view (very much WIP)
Web view (after clicking a link in detailed event view)
Anyway, I'd love to know what you think, if you have any suggestions, criticisms, or whatever. It's close to being ready for app store submission, but I'm working a bit more on the detailed event view and adding a couple features there first (sharing events via email, reminders, etc.)
Cheers stafu

Wow, looks awesome. Do you plan on making it free?
|
This looks amazing! do want!
|
holy fuck. that. is. AMAZING!
and i'm pretty sure they'll be aye-ok with it... as it's only taking the data from the site and compiling it into an easily readable app (from the pictures that's what it seemed like)
|
you could try asking them in website feedback, it might get you a quick response. Although this thread might too They probably won't care if it's a free ap, I dunno what stance they will take if you charge for it though.

Looks nice. Not something I would pay for though (if that's your intent).
|
for those with androids and want this same kinda functionality... off reddit you can get the team liquid event google calendar, add it as a calendar in google calendars and it syncs with your phone as it is updated free too
|
Thanks for the feedback It's sort of up to TL in terms of whether it's free or not - I'm using their data after all. The original plan was to make it free, though it has also taken up quite a lot of my time, but it's really up to TL management, and whether or not people think it would be worth paying 99c (or whatever the minimum app price is locally). I'm not too fussed either way though.

Have you submitted it yet? Cuz it takes about 10-14 days for it to go into review

Well it might not be available in time, but I could provide it to you as a beta tester before the app store approved version is available. If you're interested, chuck me a PM. It's not too complicated but I would need to collect your iPhone device ID to add you as an approved beta tester.
