Even if Grubby and Artosis are bad, i believe the NASL was also right to give them a spot. As fans, we still are on a learning stage. If they hadn't called them, people would still be talking about the "unknown" potential and about how unfair ir was not to take them. I believe that now, the vast majority of fans learnt that you can love a player, but realize he doesn't have yet the ability to play on the big stage. On the other hand, the criteria for picking korean players always looked weak to me. Celebrity was the N°1 factor and that's perfectly fine. Nada, July, MC and Boxer are confirmed good players and famous, and that was good for the NASL and the fans. But what about the other players? It seemed to me they chose a bunch of random mid-tier korean pros. It seems to me they were scare to pick better players because they didn't want to end with play-off series just between koreans. But i agree with all the critics in the format. Frankly, the league stage is not really interesting and the last two weeks were truly awful. On one hand, you had the already qualified players throwing away matches and the already eliminated players (not) playing even worst than before.

In the NBA, you can have 8 games going on at one night, but you can easily choose which one to watch. If the NASL went with the MLG method and split their streams in two, it would make things a lot easier. Something like this: RED Stream, Cast by Gretorp and TotalBiscuit: Starting at 19:00 PST Games: BoxeR vs. Mana iNcontroL vs. Sheth BLUE Stream, Cast by iNcontroL and MrBitter: Starting at 20:00 PST Games: IdrA vs. Morrow Zenio vs. MC I think it's a more appealing format than 4 BO3's in a row.

Some harsh criticism for the NASL, but i think most, if not all, of the points are valid so a good job to the all the writers.

This made me giggle. But ya, I'm one to believe the format is better than some of the articles lead it on to be. GSL for instance uses single elimination a whole lot more and yet I'd challenge that NASL in it's highs still managed to produce better games than a GSL finals . I can only see it growing better and better seeing the next season will have fewer and fewer "flake outs". All the "bubble" spots (4) in my mind is pretty much the lowest level of competition the next season could possibly have, and seeing the names who are in those spots, that really can't be bad if this is technically the worst the next season has to offer. *I mean only to compliment those 4 players btw.

If it works correctly, the bottom rung of the league season by season will get closer to the skill level at the top. Just look at pro sports in the 60s-80s, competition was less even back then because of the lower average quality of incoming players. In modern sports now, Dynastys are unheard of.

Great point about the casters too. As much as I've grown to not despise Grerorp's commentary I still want there to be another set of casters to mix it up as well as give the torp a break. Speaking of casters, last night we were treated to Idra vs Zenio. Diggity and Moletrap did a decent job for the most part however the bias in their voice was like nails on a chalkboard. Please be a little more professional next time guys. Since it's inception the NASL has been plagued with production issues. It's a far cry from the dark ages of when it first began but it still has a long way to go. Hopefully they can work out the kinks for the finals and Season 2.

Now if you compared how the NFL tries to pick the best games to show nationally then yes you have a much more sound argument but saying "The NFL does not show all its games" is a flat out lie. I get them all. Go to any sports bar on sunday..there they are. There is too much bad in this article and not enough good for an initial season. The NASL has gotten a wide variety of players from all over the world to go to Cali and fight it out. You can't tell me the NASL is all bad. I mean, what other league has got Slayers Boxer into the US? I bought a pass and stopped watching halfway through the season because there is just too many leagues. i check the standings still and watch a random game here or there on vods but no way in hell im missing the finals
