i'm in the same boat. i live in columbus, so i was lucky enough to be able to walk from home to the center (15-20 min away). i want to try to make another one, but i dont know how feasible it is :\

MLG Columbus was such a good production. I was really impressed by how the event was managed, but I was even more impressed with the awesomeness of the crowd! It was so awesome to listen to the crowd go wild at defended attacks, or gasp at near misses with drops. It really helped the event take on a new kind of life that I think is really important for the world to realize that E-sports (and Starcraft2) is for real, that it's not just people sitting in their rooms, alone, watching a video games. It was just like being at a sporting event, if not better (especially with all the free stuff that gets handed out at these things).
Great write up. Loved the pics and the captions, and really enjoyed all that the author had to say.
I live in NC and I cannot wait for the MLG Raleigh stop c:

MLG has definitely redeemed themselves in my eyes. Only a day in and I was looking for a way to purchase a pass for the next event. We need to support MLG! This could be the future of SC2 here in NA.

I dunno how people are claiming that the stream was lag-free, because it sure as hell wasn't even close to that. But otherwise, quite a memorable tournament.
I like the "MC 2-0 Bomber" in the list of surprises. Is that the number of victories in the visa series?

MLG Columbus was my very first event that I've ever attended, and I was so happy that I did. I'm not much of a traveler, so the thought of driving 7 and a half hours to Columbus from Northeast PA was daunting, but again, it was so worth it. Sure the drive back after the finals was hell and I was up for a consecutive 35 hours because I had work on Monday to go to, but would I do it again...definitely. I might fly the next time though.

Cool write up! I still can't believe that IdrA left that game vs MMA. I honestly wonder if he had stayed in that game and taken it would anyone have been able to stop him? He seemed really mentally beaten when he played MC again and I think a win against MMA might have given him the push he needed to confidently finish the tournament out.
If IdrA can ever actually maintain his confidence through the entire duration of a tournament I have a feeling we'll see his name in the number 1 spot for a lot of tournaments.
