I got a great feel for the hype just watching it on the stream! It was a great event, and the streaming went very well. I loved hearing the crowd cheering for stuff like scouting tech, drops, etc. It was awesome to hear the level of excitement the crowd had.

An amazing read. I was at the event and this really captures how it felt. I brought my brother there even though he had never seen a game of SC2 played in his life, he walked away from the event with not only excitement for SC2 (which he bought Sunday night with over night shipping) but also for ESPORTS as a whole. I showed up at 9am Saturday and Sunday with a packed lunched and ate dinner in shifts because my brother and I couldn't pull ourselves away from the amazing games and crowd (and seats). *****

I don't know what to say. This event was very nice. I intended to watch as much as possible, but ended up watching about five hours total. But these five hours were great. I saw Idra's early gg, I laughed about Wheat and Day[9], I loved MCs 4:0 in his rematch against Idra and I craved for more. But in the end, I was just too tired to watch more games. Instead I downloaded some of the replays and enjoyed them in some private review of the matches.

The streams were great, I hardly had any lag and even these were minor or could be fixed with a quick reboot of my browser. The commentating was awesome, and I favored Wheat+Day over Tastosis. I liked their way of commentating more. Tastosis seemed kinda flat at times and Tasteless didn't commentate as well as I remembered from 2008 SCBW events. Too bad. But Wheat and Day.. just awesome. And their faces after Idra's gg... even more awesome.

Thanks to the MLG staff for hosting this event and bringing up the manpower and money to do this. Thanks to TL for this great article.
Thanks to the players for those great games, especially for the drama (dance of death, MC vs Idra, Idra vs MMA).
and finally
Thanks to SC2 and esports in general to make it something I appreciate more than soccer (which is huge in Germany).

ive said this several times, but for sc2 the West is leading the way esports wise. Korea may have (and this is debatable) better players and they have a bigger prize pool, but in everything else West > Korea

it was awesome to see IdrA get smacked 4-0 giving MC the win 4-2. All they mentioned was that MC predicted a 4-0, they failed to follow up by saying that he did in fact dominate IdrA 4-0 just like he said.. and made IdrA cry.. just like he said, haha!!. MC is a beast!! love him.
